Indian National Defence University Bill, 2015 proposes to establish a world class fully autonomous institution of National Importance under Ministry of Defence. University will develop and propagate higher education (PhD, M Phil, M Tech and M Sc) in National Security Studies, Defence Management and Defence Technology and promote policy oriented research on all aspects relating to national security, both internal and external. It would also encourage awareness of national security issues by reaching out to scholars and an audience beyond the official machinery. It will also serve as a think tank contributing to policy formulation and debates on security and strategy. INDU will inculcate and promote coordination and interaction not just between the three Armed Services but also between other agencies of the Government, the Civil Bureaucracy, Para Military Forces, Central Armed Police Forces, Intelligence Services, Diplomats, Academicians, Strategic Planners, University Students and officers from Friendly Foreign Countries. It would create synergy between the academic community and Govt functionaries. It would make available opportunities for higher studies through distance learning to interested military personnel.

Initially, four new colleges / institutions, namely School of National Security Studies, School of Defence Technology, School of Defence Management and Centre for Distance and Open Learning are proposed to be set up at main campus at Binola, Gurgaon. The four existing Defence Institutions namely National Defence College (NDC), New Delhi, College of Defence Management (CDM), Secunderabad, Defence Services Staff College (DSSC), Wellington and National Defence Academy (NDA), Khadakwasla, Pune are proposed to be brought under the ambit of INDU without diluting their powers or autonomy for award of degrees and diplomas.

The last date for sharing inputs on Draft Indian National Defense University Bill, 2015 is 21st August, 2016.

Few points which i consider can be of high importance:
1. Merit based selection:-
-The institute is for higher studies
-It comes under the MoD. there is no reservation in Indian Armed Forces
2. On successful completion of course offer of government job
-this will be the X-factor.
-More young talent will get attracted to this field.
3. Compulsary to serve in MoD agencies and labs
- Same type of system is in place in IIST.

Sir, its necessary to fill up a application for get a job but that application fees will be different for gen and sc/st candidate.It will be very helpful for those general candidate like me who belonging from financially not stable family if you consider the fees as same as sc/st.

Sir, as the case is being delayed and every time we students gets next hearing date, our career and life is at stake, many students pursuing the said course are depressed and hopeless of their future.Money,time and energy seems to be wasted, with such a quality and par education, AMIE is baseless without AICTE and MHRD recognition.

The Admission to the Indian Defence University should be through Entrance liKe NDA/NA. Give chance to fit and poor people.

The police may easily know the location by using GPS The police may easily know the location by using GPS technology and they will try to stop few major blasts.

It's my thought but I dont know it is feasible or not because i don't have such technical knowledge.

I have a small thought if it is feasible we must avoid bomb blasts and terrorists attacks in the hole world.
Every day there was a news about bomb blast at least one news.

My thought is, now a days using cell phone is part of the human life. 90% people are using Mobile phones amongst 50% of the people are using smartphone. If we place a chip which detects explosives near to the device with in the one meter radius or at least two feet radius and it sends sms to the nearest police station.

indian national defence university should consider is very good though student from various state by conducted examination by central govt which gives a chance to student to appear for this unicersity, this will enhance the quality of student. there should be post graduate and research set to the latest technology and news ideas of student.

Indian National Defence University should consider students from various colleges of states by conducting Inter College Competitive Exam in Each and every state. which gives a chance to every student to appear for great upcoming university and serve nation.

The Admission to the Indian Defence University should be through the IITs, NITs, NIDs, IIMs, AIMSs and Other reputed Institutions. This will enhance the quality of students. There should be Post graduate and Research Facilities set to the latest technological trends.

There should be a some entry scheme of M.tech holder in Indian army and Indian National Defence University for Phd.
