Selection on merit basis should not be the only criteria for gettingadmission for the post graduation courses in universities.an entrance exam should be compulsory for selection.students coming to universities are from different area and colleges.marking criteria in different colleges are different and students expressive skills are also different.many students having good knowledge are having low marks to achieve the merit.an entrance is must to prove their knowledge just like in engineering.
