This theme invites inputs of the various types of reform needed to create better governance structures in State Universities and Centrally Funded institutions that will help in ...
University committees are hubs of nepotism. Syllabus design is copy paste exercise. We do not even have a definition of subject expert for appointing on particular committee. Only few people dominate whole process who do not even understand trends in a discipline. Compel universities to involve suggestions of students, industry experts and subject experts in syllabus design process.
Secondly, do not give permission to any tom dick and harry to start an institute. The number of engineering & management institutes has increased to such an extent that they are struggling for students. Why can't we have some analysis of industry requirements and number of students graduating from a particular course?
First step should be Change ownership pattern. Most of the institutions owned by political leaders who do not understand academics. They are run on whims and moods of owners. You need to be academician to understand academics.
Dear All
One Nation … One Education
There is too much politics in education institutes, state universities are worst. Among faculties they have formed gangs which do not allow people from other universities or regions to come and teach. And top of it they will cry they do not get good faculty. Few people with Phd done on some good for nothing topics are the rulers. They run the show using low paid temporary faculty on call. You will not find professors of repute and gravity in campus now a days
My suggestion is to get stick laws against reservation as ministers and regional parties have exploited them for vote bank.
Idea: let think there is 100 people in our country allot 10% of population to reservation so whom so ever want reservation will come in that 10% pool and so no one will like to come in this pool and only need student from SC and OBC will get it … if u want to know more feel free to contact me it can be elaborated in very vast way this is just a small example in this

It's a pity that a person graduates only to find that this degree can hardly help anyone make both ends meet.Things have changed a lot over past two decades and it's high time serious thought must be given on this aspect.
In any case what great purpose is our basic graduation course serving! Those aspiring for engineering go for IIT or similar, medical aspirants go for MBBS, commerce students go for CA, CS, MBA or law. All these are super specialities which more than cover the basic graduation degrees. And for those who don't pursue such professional lines, what can be achieved by simply having a basic graduation degree is known to everybody.
We are a nation with largest young population and ironically also the largest population with unmanaged and unproductive pushover human resource.
