Best reform to improve quality is to appoint honest & efficient academicians as VCs of universities & principals of colleges. Many institutions are rotting because of poor admin'n. Every 6 months the VCs/Principals should get feedbacks from the faculty who in turn from the students regarding admin's, teaching, attitude, integrity, punctuality & so on. This will put some checks & balances in the system. When admin'n is in good hands, 50% problems will be automatically solved.

DFS, MOF issued letter Dated 03.09.2013,enforcing Guidelines for nomination of Non-Official Directors by GOI on the election of Directors amongst the shareholders also, restricting the shareholder’s right to elect the experienced persons and promoting unwarranted litigation.Said directions, which were issued against the provisions of the Sec 9(3AA) of the Banking Companies Act 1970,be withdrawn with immediate effect and public sector banks be advised to follow the notifications of RBI.

ugc faculty recharge programme is promising one and should be expanded to engineering streams. Faculty @ all level except for IITs/IISc should be recruited through this module.

Faculty recruitment had been corrupt to an extent that it adversely affects the quality. In my view there must be a faculty pool made at central level. It must be made mandatory that faculties in this pool would be eligible for position in Univ. Although NET/SLET exist but they don't take research into account. This will also reduce burden from applicants to pay fees in individual Univ./colleges. Moreover in all central inst./Uni.it should be ensured that @ least 50% fac. is from other states.

Please introduce a system of CCTV narrow-cast/video recording of all interviews to faculty posts in colleges/institutions/research institutions across India to bring about transparency in the selection process. If Viva Voce for Mphil/Phd can be done in the public, why should interviews by panel be secretive. The selection process for faculty posts is often vulnerable to political/collateral considers. The panelists, howsoever distinguished, are not always free of bias.

I have got feedback on Gujarat State education a) While checking board papers of 12th std, teachers are instructed to pass maximum students b) There has been resistance for new appointment in commerce section c) Teachers focus on other activity than teaching, leading to deterioration in quality of education Wish for improvements

Engineering education system has now in four levels namely workers, supervisors, managers and researchrs. In reality, the role of supervisors is being taken over by graduates and Engineering Diploma meant for the same has been degraded.Hence all Poly technic Institutes may be converted in to Engineering colleges and no need to have Diploma courses at all as industries and other places prefering Graduates in place of Diploma Holders.

Dear members I intend to draw your attention to an unwise selection criteria bring used for entrance exams for MBA courses i.e. 50% in graduation. This criteria alone can't be a scale to mesure one's intellect as we all know that for even many top B schools like XLRI and also for UPSC Civil services there is no such criteria.AICTE must know that in our country where malpractice and other inefficiencies in education system are still existing, this is a irrelevant criteria depriving many.
