The Indian Nanoelectronics Users Program (INUP), hosted at IIT Bombay and IISc Bangalore, with financial support from the Department of Electronics and Information Technology (DeitY), strives to address many of these challenges. Through INUP, Ph.D. students and faculty innovators from any university or institution in India recognized by MHRD can access these nanofabrication facilities which house more than 150 sophisticated instruments for fabrication and characterization of nanoelectronic devices. The students also receive mentorship from experts – both faculty and other senior students – about their research projects and prototype development. INUP also conducts workshops to provide information and “hands-on” sessions to explain use of equipment.

If you are a Ph.D. student anywhere in India who wishes to try out an innovative idea in the area of nanoelectronics, you can send a proposal to INUP (http://www.inup.iitb.ac.in and http://www.nano.iisc.ernet.in/inup/). INUP provides the funding, help, mentorship and facilities, but the IP of your idea belongs to you.

The best way to integrate most technologies (including nano), i.e. find novel applications for them, is to create cross-connections between various fields.

One of the biggest corrections we need to bring in all "elite" institutions is to bring together more "branches" of knowledge in one campus. MITs of the world win nobel prices is because in its cafe you will have an engineer interacting with a biologist who in turn will have a poet friend pondering over beauty.

Respected Sir, my idea is when our Indian Govt have around 8 IITs and IIM and government only funding them though our income tax , but when student gets pass out from these institutions then they are hired by private / foreign companies due to which they never serve our country , they do the job in foreign like USA and become settle there which cause less innovation and less skills people remains in india . which is not good.
Please make 5 Year India base services only for IIT and IIM students.

ideas
1) simply by attaching few gear in the tread mills and cycles of gym we can itself produce a lot of energy.
2) desi gae ko paalo unke gobar se gobar gas banae aur bull se electricity produce karwae ja sakti--isse double fayde honge
3) the roads should be incorporated with a layer of piezoelectric cells such that every vehicle passing over it will produtricity
electricity automatically.
4) simple machines{small booths}, can be instald in slums to give employment and generate elctrcty

We can make any parts of machinery with minimum amount of west of raw material with more accurate and more speedily. We also use that technology for more accurate and cheap healthcare for urban area. We also create complex circuit through this technology for defense weapon.
