How to promote Indian handlooms as a brand and to ensure quality products to the consumers?

India has a long tradition of excellence in making handloom products with extraordinary skills and craftsmanship. 44 lakh weavers are engaged in this activity, out of which 78% are women.

By the Handlooms (Reservation of Articles for production) Act, 1985, the Central Government has reserved articles or class of articles for exclusive production of handlooms for the protection and development of the handloom industry.
Further to this effort, the Ministry of Textiles launched “Handloom Mark” scheme with effect from 28.06.2006 for promoting and preserving the Indian handloom products and securing a premium position in the domestic as well as international market. This provides a collective identity to the handloom products of India for popularizing the hand woven products originating from the handloom sector. Thus, the Handloom Mark does not necessarily guarantee a bench mark quality for the product, but ensures only the origin of the product.

Though the weavers produce rich variety of designs and textures, there is not much emphasis on the quality of the product due to various reasons. Experience of implementing Handloom Mark in the past years indicate that this has served the limited purpose of production of cloth by handlooms and not been able to address the quality related parameters which are integral for development of handloom as a niche product.

It is stressed on the need to produce a fabric “with no defect and no effect on environment” and develop “Indian Handlooms” brand for assuring quality products meeting social and environmental compliances.

The file management system is also equipped with extremely secure Anti- theft system. The monitoring module continuously monitors the movement of files across the gates, so that the files taken out without prior issuing are traced and the management will be informed about it by an automatic alarm generated instantly.

The searching module provides the fast searching of files using RFID handheld reader. It will also help in Accounting/Stock verification of the materials.

this is the right time to adopt RFID base file tracking system in all govt office which have

RFID based File Management System (FMS) which facilitates fast issuing, reissuing and returning of files with the help of RFID enabled modules. It directly provides the file information and member information to the file management system without any manual intervention.

The RFID readers need no line of sight to read RFID tags and are capable of reading multiple tags simultaneously from a distance

Sir District Kaushambi is situated in the State of UP. Foodgrain Availabilty,Fertiliser Availabilty,Cement,Coal etc to the tune of around 150000 Mt recieved in the district by truck from NAINI ALLAHABAD or FATEHPUR Rail Head.In this case total truck travelling is around 150 to 170 Km. If Railway declare Rakepoint at Bharwari The truck movement will reduce to 40-50 Km and thus saving of about 370000 litre diesel. In addition to that there will bw substantial saving in Fertiliser subsidy

Haath ke karghe ka abhi tak ho raha paramparagat upyog yadi vidyut oorja ka utpadan bhi shuru kar de to vaishvik manav ke liye anivary upyogita ka utpadan bhara ke karodon haath aur anya jeev bhi kar sakte hain. Paramparagat utpadan apni jagaha hai.

modi ji agar indian handlom famaous karna he to har school me student ki dress ishi ki ho har sarkari , private office ,college , hospital, bank sabhi ke employee or student ke liye ye compulsorily kar dena chahiye

it is a best business ishe badaba diya jaye to isse kai logo ko rojgar milega b kai garibon ke kar ka chula jal sakega modi ji is puri duniya me prashid karne ke liye india me har jagh jagh 1 to 2 month ka job fair lgaya jaye aur sarkar support kare.

To my mind, Indian handloom fabrics are not easily accessible by all? One has to make an effort to find such materials. The govt. should encourage its online sale through major e-commerce sites and many educated people will buy.

Another way could be to supply these products in the form of table clothes or curtains or bed sheets in colleges, universities where in they can use them in offices, classes or hostels
