India is the World’s second largest producer of Fruits & Vegetables. However, the processing of perishable products in our country is very low, in comparison to the ...
There should some agriculture center that will be established in all village across India. These center should connect farmers face to face and provide training for organic farming and tell about their benefits.Middleman should be removed because they exploit the farmers so much that they take a decision of suicide. Also these centers provide actual price of their crops. When these farmers grow organic crops then they increase our economy.
FARMERS ARE BASIC LIFE PLEASE PROTECT THEM
People don't have smartbrain, but at least a smartphone, literate them to make proper use of it.
Launch online and offline apps, as well as agriculture games(not designed by any govt organisation.).
make new website and application for Farmer to Customer and Direct Product Delivery System, So farmer can sell online and customer purchase and tracking online. Farmer also packing cutting vegetables or fruits
Register all farmers, create a data base of theirs. Create a network of special agro zones which provide 24*7 help to the farmers. These Agrozones should have 24*7 access to metreological department. This will help farmers know the correct sowing time. Also Agrozones should have large warehousing capacity & have special purpose vehicles (with temperature regulating containers) which can carry farm produce to these agrozones. Such Agrozones can be under made PPP model open to 100% FDI.
Goverment involvement can greatly reduce losses in supply chain & vegetables. There should be tempertature controlled transports to for this purpose. As soon as the yeilds are off from fields they will bvcollected at a nodal point from there full AC trains or AC trucks must b provided for onward despatch.Proactive approach of govt official will b great help.
Dissemination about existing infrastructure to ensure optimal utilization of existing facilities, proper maintenance of existing facilities and as per demand, investment into both supply chain infrastructure (cold storage etc.) and in setting up agri-businesses (such as vegetable dehydration and vegetable processing plants) which are close to the production source/dominant APMC. Increasing direct sales to large retailers vs. to APMC's to shorten value chain and benefit farmers & reduce losses.
More cold storage production but there has to be a subsidy not only on the construction but also on the periodic operational expenses mainly electric
The cold storage should be built near villeges & near high producing areas.this will help farmers.direct marketing will reduce gap between farmer & customer so that it will reduse wastage.industry which use fruits vegetables to be promoted good transport will reduse loss.
Now a days National Dairy Development Board providing bulk milk coolers to village dairies to avoid harvesting of milk.Like NDDB channel Govt has to make National Fruit & Vegetables Centre which works like collection of vegetables and fruits for storages as well as farmers can sells to Govt.
Respected PM,
Flowers may be expected to reach in hours otherwise they get damaged. Speedy transport has to be arranged. Some special flowers like roses may be there for a day or two. Similarly vegetables used after plugging and bringing to market make the farmers rich and the consumer also have a tasty food. Minimize usage of cooling process and make them ready for market. Some senior citizen may not like to have cooled vegetables.
