A huge amount of Govt. money is spent on subsidy of petroleum products. The Govt. had to spend Rs. 1,39,869 crore on account of subsidy on petroleum products in the year 2013-14. As, the indigenous availability of crude Oil and LPG is limited, these are imported in huge quantities to fulfill the demand of the country.  As Govt. provides domestic LPG and PDS Kerosene on subsidised price, this results in huge subsidy burden on Govt. Due to presence of dual pricing(subsidized and non-subsidized) in LPG and SKO, there is a diversion of subsidized LPG and Kerosene into commercial usage. Although Govt. has taken several initiatives to reduce this diversion of subsidized LPG and PDS Kerosene, public participation is solicited to suggest ways for reducing diversion in LPG and PDS Kerosene.

You are invited to suggest ideas to reduce diversion and the subsidy burden on account of LPG and Kerosene.

hamare charo taraf energy hai bus hum use electric me convert nahi kar pa rahe hain government ko chahiye ki aise convertor par R&D kare or banaye jisse hum natural fuel ko bacha sake.jaise jab hum 30-40-50 ki speed par gadi chalate hai tab hame 30-40-50 KMPL ka free ka air flow Milta hai agar car companies koi air blower banakar uske dono taraf ulternator lagakar use apne design me setting kar de to hume kafi had tak car accessories (AC,Deck,Light etc)chalane ke liye electric mil jayegi.

I would advise to not to give subsidies to all the Nigam Parshad, Sarpanch, MPs, MLAs and to all other those whose income crosses the no income tax slabs.

Supply through pipeline directly to residences would be an option to reduce diversion of gas cylinders. This should also help to cover broader spectrum of consumers and avoid any artificial demands being created by middlemen (dealers) as well.Billing can be as basis consumption, with minimum fixed charges if required or such model.

LPG should be supplied through pipe line directly to the home, diversion should be made a penal offence, different gas detector agents(ethyl mercapton) should be mixed in subsidised and non subsidised LPG,that they can be easily traced. Same should be applied with kerosene.Cultivation of bio-diesel should be encouraged in less productive areas and near railway tracks. Income from bio-diesel should be made tax free.Electric induction cooker solar plates and other such items should be made taxfree.

Bring all the government employees/PSU employess/MPs /MLAs and Public Reps under one umbrella and take out the subsidies for them on lpg and gas, whether it is on husbands name or wife.,They are all above poverty line and do not deserve the subsidy on petroleum products..Secondly maintain an open market price fairly..which has not happened with petrol and diesel prices, where +cess was levied when international crude dropped.thirdly promote community filling and purchase of LPG in colonies.Rgds,

Dual pricing in itself is the main cause of all problems.
-Govt spends Rs 1,39,869 crore as subsidies can`t do away with this as it provides room for possible manipulation.
-Citizens never get benefited with subsidies. For example a family get approx RS 200/= subsidy in a month, but most of the families directly are indirectly pays for additional cost for general needs from foods to construction comes from commercial establishment.Who pay addl cost govt charge for commercial use.

The immediate alternate energy is SOLAR energy. solar cookers are available in both national &international markets. Tech experts can study & supply to people at subsidized prices thru GOVT outlets only. Pl donot give to private parties.
The 2nd option is GOBAR gas.Pl refer the study of late Sri Rajiv Dixit on cows. Ther he made a beautiful study of gobar gas from Cow dung. If we can increase the nos of cows by doubling, the gobar gas plants can be installed thru out the country.
