A huge amount of Govt. money is spent on subsidy of petroleum products. The Govt. had to spend Rs. 1,39,869 crore on account of subsidy on petroleum products in the year 2013-14. As, the indigenous availability of crude Oil and LPG is limited, these are imported in huge quantities to fulfill the demand of the country. As Govt. provides domestic LPG and PDS Kerosene on subsidised price, this results in huge subsidy burden on Govt. Due to presence of dual pricing(subsidized and non-subsidized) in LPG and SKO, there is a diversion of subsidized LPG and Kerosene into commercial usage. Although Govt. has taken several initiatives to reduce this diversion of subsidized LPG and PDS Kerosene, public participation is solicited to suggest ways for reducing diversion in LPG and PDS Kerosene.

You are invited to suggest ideas to reduce diversion and the subsidy burden on account of LPG and Kerosene.

Some of the very basic need to reduce and stop diversion is rationalization of commercial gas prices, today also commercial LPG in 19 kg cylinder is expensive than even jet fuel or ATF in India, if we are able to rationalize its price a lot can be achieved. Apart from this even today if you ask any Gas Agency to provide you unsubsidized LPG cylinder they will simply refuse wheres in actual it should be available over the counter so that any person who dont want to buy it in black and dont(1/n)

Pradhan Mantri Jan - Dhan Yojana is the most apt vehicle to do cash transfer of subsidy. 'Diversion' will stop as soon as everything is at market price.

THERE ARE LOTS OF LPG SELLERS ON CYCLES DOING BLACK-MARKETING. NOBODY IS STOPPING THEM OR PUTTING THEM BEHIND BARS. THEY ALSO SIPHON OFF 2-3 kgs WHICH ARE PUT INTO SMALL GAS CYLINDERS BY DEALERS & SOLD BY SMALL SHOPS. SO, THEY SELL YOU LESS GAS IN BIG CYLINDERS. GOVT CAN ALLOW SALE OF SMALL LPG CYLINDERS ONLY AT PETROL STATIONS & STOP ALL CYCLISTS SELLING BIG LPG CYLINDERS. THIS WILL ENSURE LESS DIVERSION TO BLACK MARKET & LESS PILFERAGE OF LPG.

Cash subsidiary will reduce the cost drastically. 1. if cash subsidiary is provided then black marketing will be curtailed as products will be available at market price. 2. In case of cash subsidiary the benefit will be transferred to the user bank account. again this will reduce the number people using the benefit the subsidiary, as only alive a resident ppl of that place will be able to use the benefit.

To make India economically strong we should campaign to save fuel avoiding petroleum vehicles ,using tradition of cycle like clean India compaign.

To stop black marketing of gas cylinder, a consumer can be given right to purchase cylinder from any of the agency providing subsidy to the customer. Like Adhar, an unique consumer number should be created. Gas cylinder with very tight plastic cap seal should be provided to the customer.

I am LPG user. Lots of gas cylender goes under black market. Govt. give subsidy to user in his account. Link bank account with lpg gas connection. At the time of purchase gas he give price of non subsidy cylinder and subsidy transfer in his account by gas agency. But this rule imply in proper manner.

New system will be an improvement on present.kerosene and LPG should be available freely at open market price.can be rationed to weaker section.

I am kerosene dealer ,people need kerosene for diff purpose but as it is subsidies ,its availability always short and purchase at premium ,people give at right price people will benefit from it ,

I intend to purchase LPG on market price,not at subsidies rate but process is not online ,I have to write letter of my dealer , can process made easy by online application ?
