A huge amount of Govt. money is spent on subsidy of petroleum products. The Govt. had to spend Rs. 1,39,869 crore on account of subsidy on petroleum products in the year 2013-14. ...
Subsidy should be provide to Only who have 2 children & there 1 should de girl. it will iffect to population control & kanya bhuran htya,
My suggestion is simple - firs freeze subsidy wherever it is today and then whenever there is an increase in price of Gas adjust it from the Subsidy - like this there will not a direct impact on purchase price but side by side Subsidy will go down. Idea of depositing subsidy in account is good which should be treated as Income for taxation purposes.
1. No Subsidy (or say lesser subsidy) for Income above Rs. 5 lacs per annum
2. Dealers commission on Commercial cylinders should be doubled than domestic cylinders... it will encourage them to stop misuse.
i was having hpgas connection in mumbai & when i shifted to navi mumbai with cylinder,i have to buy cylinder in black, cost is -1200/=.now hpgas supplier in navi mumbai ,told me return that cylinder in mumbai to your old supplier, bring address poof of navi mumbai, then i will give you cylinder by regular price.i am living in rented room& it is tough to get address proof and there are many persons like me ,who will be having same problem.i think, there must be "pan india token system" for gas.
How to reduce LPG and Kerosene, one of the major question to enhance energy segment very much debate required. The petro products for heat energy bring to alternative low cost LNG (Liquified Natural Gas). This even ready to transport with solid level of minus 225 degree compressed stage. Both fuels transportation cost must reduced by laying distributions pipes. When the coast reduced more energy efficiency on budgeting improved.More energy consumed for productions such as HVAC, other manufacturing
This is with ref to my previous post,I have sugested regarding reducing Taxes/duties so that cost of LPGCylinder would be @600/- and make market open so that no subsidy to be paid by Govt.cost of 1000 cylinders will be 600000 in this case Govt do not pay instead earns 100000 from duties/taxes (600000-500000) whereas in the case of subsidize cylinder Govt earns nothing, but paying 500000 for subsidy (for cylinder costing 500/- customer pays 500/-&Govt pays 500/-as subsidy)This is practical soln
It does not require any great deal of thought to understand that if the mechanism of controlled pricing and delivery had been successful, there would not have been either the availability of kerosene to be sold in black, nor would there have been buyers. As such, I would like to offer my humble opinion for making available items of basic necessity freely available and finish off blackmarketeering.
Helping the economically backward can be by encouraging gainful economic activity, not doles.Thank
Govt should ask all LPG distributors to ask their customer to submit Pan Card Copy. Now by Pan card details govt can easily track the annual income of Individuals / Customer. and on the basis of that Govt can decide for whom not to give subsidized cylinder and Kerosene. Also there are Many Township of Industries all over India who give their employer good salary. Ask distributor not to give subsidized cylinder to any people residing in these township. Also set 3 months deadline to submit Pancard
A casual stroll through the market place shows sellers who themselves are from these economically deprived class, selling kerosene of the 'blue' controlled variety in plastic bottles of 500ml or 1L at black market prices, and their customers are from the same class.
The most practical solution would be to let the market find its own price.
In support of this solution, I would like to point out that the controlled items, not only kerosene or LPG, but all other items end up being sold in the black market, and the targeted class, who are economically backward and are underprivileged, rarely if at all ever, get a chance to benefit from these.
