A huge amount of Govt. money is spent on subsidy of petroleum products. The Govt. had to spend Rs. 1,39,869 crore on account of subsidy on petroleum products in the year 2013-14. As, the indigenous availability of crude Oil and LPG is limited, these are imported in huge quantities to fulfill the demand of the country.  As Govt. provides domestic LPG and PDS Kerosene on subsidised price, this results in huge subsidy burden on Govt. Due to presence of dual pricing(subsidized and non-subsidized) in LPG and SKO, there is a diversion of subsidized LPG and Kerosene into commercial usage. Although Govt. has taken several initiatives to reduce this diversion of subsidized LPG and PDS Kerosene, public participation is solicited to suggest ways for reducing diversion in LPG and PDS Kerosene.

You are invited to suggest ideas to reduce diversion and the subsidy burden on account of LPG and Kerosene.

We have to give subsidy to poor not for rich. Why we have to give subsidized petrol and diesel to car users. If needed we can give 1 or 2 liter with subsidy price per day. For their comfort why government have to spent, those who still no house to live and rupees to travel public transport. Encourage public transport for public so we can reduce the subsidy cost for car users. Only giving limited amount of subsidy petrol and diesel to own vehicle users. so we spend more money for poor LPG user

The issue of sending the refill after booking might be given about 2-3 hours of delivery so that the consumer will be in the knowledge of his booking and delivery.

That's what called real initiative of Only & Modi Govt. to get participation of decisions/suggestion of the Common Men, Unlike 125 Crores of Watch-Men of Pappu...LPG & Kerosene Subsidy has to be separated, & LPG Connection-holders are to be waived of for the Kerosene Subsidy, as of their Non-Usage of Kerosene in their NO-WHERE-SHOWN-STOWE.........

Use differential pricing system for subsidised LPG. First cylinder at full subsidy and the amount of subsidy for the next at 95% subsidy and the following at 90% and so on.... This way the amount of subsidy on the last cylinder will be reduced and it is not much of a load on people..This way usage will be reduced(efficient usage). I am not an economist so I donot know if this idea is compatible.

Do not give subsidy to LPG and kerosene to the user of it , make a price such that it is not much high and not much low . If one price for every body then nobody will go for black marketing. Due to this every body will use gas and kerosene i proper way.

Incentivize consumers by accruing reward points that can be exchanged for cash and/or prizes. Every cylinder will result in a deduction in points such that complete utilization will reward 0 points. To be effective, cash will need to match subsidy, but creativity in determining prizes via tie-ups with suppliers might be less expensive and can be directed for instance, to improve standard of living.

My idea is that fill the LPG and Kerosene at Local Petrol pump with smart card there will be concession as per policy. Citizens will benefit some distributors margin.

Piped gas should be promoted. This will reduce the cost of cylinders and transportation of cylinders. Since cylinders will not be there no one will be able to black market it.gas will actually be used only by the person who has taken connection with him to pay for his usage as per the meter.atleast all new buildings should compulsory arrange for piped gas line

Remove all the cylinders. Because of cylinders only alot of people are not getting gas even for cooking. Laying underground gas pipelines serves a lot of people and correct utilisation takes place and everyone gets gas for cooking. The main thing is that the system of gas distribution through cylinders should be wiped off completely

Price of Petroleum products should never be reduced as the benefit due to reduction is never passed on to the consumer by the industry/transporters/taxi operators. It only benefits the iindustrialists etc.The amount so proposed to be reduced should be kept as RESERVE to accommodate when the stage comes at a later date. The main reason for my submission is that the prices of the products /goods fare/passenger fare is increased manifold as compared to the actual effect of increase and on reductio
