Increasing non-fare revenue for Indian Railways

Start Date :

Although Indian Railways enjoy the highest captive eyeballs in a railway system internationally, it earns less than 5% of its revenues through non-tariff sources. Many of the world ...
1. Train doors must be equipped with a motion sensor to count the number of passengers getting in and out. This will help to identify the number of ticketless passengers and tally against the ticket checkers' count. (FYI passenger count sensors are in use on buses in countries like Singapore).
2. Ticketless travelers should be forced to clean the trains and stations for a day or two. This helps to save the labour cost and teach them a lesson.
respected sir I just want to know when government say people's can make 365 days monthly or daily monthly railway must ensure that if in case they lost there monthly then government must issue duplicate monthly, right now there were not any provision for this particular problem I also suffered this problem, when I lost my advanced six months monthly at that time railway didn't issue me any duplicate copy of my monthly.Thank you.
Family member want to travel together . Also many people want lower berth in train. Allot berth number only on chart preparation . Charge extra for persons who want these facilities. This can be tried in ac coaches in the beginning.
Every ac coaches have luggage racks which can be utilized to store luggage of bonafide passangers at a cost. Charge extra for luggage beyond certain number.
You can earn revenue by allowing ads on the rail coaches body from private sectors.
This will help you to generate revenue and compensate loss on passenger fare.
I think now the passenger fare is high only.
Also put stringent rules on passengers using rails, not to put waste outside other than
the prescribed placeses.
In railways, there are possibility for generating electricity by placing piezoelectric devices under every seat or births or under coaches that sense pressure and result in generating electricity that find its use in different purpose inside coaches.
Sir please issues the order of reuse steel and metal for railway materials , then only we have to control in waisting of money in railway & also other departments .
Respected Modi Ji,
Please make arrangements to increase the staff in the ticket checkers department and vigilance section of Indian Railways. Except South India, TTRs are rarely found in the trains of other parts of the country in Sleeper Class Coaches. Only in A/C coaches, TTRs used to come for ticket checking. If ticket checking is carried out in full swing for all reserved sleeper coaches, I am sure that there will be atleast 30% defaulters. Correcting this, will surely increase IR revenue.
The paper that the TC's have for the purpose of checking the passenger list can be digitalised by tablet. This will reduce paper cost and the wastege of paper. Also the records can be maintained properly for long time period. This is just a one time cost for IR. If govt can distribute free tablet for its vote bank then why not for some cost saving purpose.
If passenger are not boarding the train its message can be sent immediately and the seat can be shown available for current reservation.
i have many ideas to share, which can not be shared here
so please contact me separately.
my observation for increasing revenue is very fine and i personally think it will defiantly help our railways.
there is thousands of way to generate revenue, even railway can book huge profit more than from fair receipts.
MODIFY ALL BIG STATIONS JUST LIKE SUPER HYPER MARKET AND SELL THE SPACE FOR BUSINESS TO LOCAL SHOPKEPPERS THIS WILL GIVE A VERY BIG BOOST TO REVENUE OF RAILWAYS AND LOCALS WILL ALSO KEEN TO JOINING IN THE IMPROVEMENT OF RAILWAYS
