Although Indian Railways enjoy the highest captive eyeballs in a railway system internationally, it earns less than 5% of its revenues through non-tariff sources. Many of the world railway systems generate 10% to 20% of their revenues from non-tariff sources.

IR typically has focused on increasing revenues through tariff hikes. It wants to change this and challenge the conventional thinking by exploiting new sources of revenue so that every asset, tangible or non-tangible, gets optimally monetized

We invite ideas from citizens on increasing non fare revenue for Indian Railways.

There should be Solar Paneled Roofs on the #Railway Coaches that will be used as an Clean Energy source in #INDIANRAILWAYS that helps in Saving the Coal/Uranium/Water indirectly to some extent,

We should not pay attention only hardware as well as software also
becouse only good hardware doing nothing that's why we use new software technoloy like that

1.please keep clean trains and railway station
2.implement double Decker trains in all routes.
3.we need private investment in railways
4.issue railway bonds for investment purpose.
5.implement the solar system in trains.
6.increases the train speed & train nos.
7.need to manufacturing train engines within india.
8.implement the lot of tourist trains with all state.
9.implement the toilet facility in local trains(mumbai & chennai),all railway station also.arrange cushion seat.

Rail dabb me shit ki Sankhya badhani chahiye taki yatri ko prasani thora kam ho sake kiyo ki har dabba me 4-5 sit badh Sakti hai aur is thara aamdani bhi badh Sakti hai

High Speed Internet Connection both inside train and on platform while waiting for train (at Rs. 10 for full day per guest)

Sale of the internet connection by railway colleagues by using (mobile POS machine - aadhar enabled device/debit/credit or mobile payment using aadhar)

username and password for using wifi internet created by railway colleagues same time when purchasing the connection on station platform or inside train use for a full day access.

In long distance trains, general compartments can be replaced with double decker coaches to accommodate more passengers who are forced to travel by bus e.g. routes between Mumbai - Ahmedabad etc.
