The Post Office is accessible to individual in remote corner and rural areas where banks are usually not available. This is the prime factor to select Post Office as nodal unit to carry out many functions such as saving A/C, tax saving instruments etc. Success depends if Government can ensure its proper functioning in relation to facts mentioned below: 1. WORK CULTURE; 2. TIMELY ATTENDANCE, 3. HELPING ATTITUDE TO CLIENTS, 4.MONITORING WORK OUTPUT OF EACH as insufficient employee is common plea

It would be better if PO services are computerized. As of now, everything seems to be functioning in handwritten way, and is very time consuming. Also, if investments in PPF, NSC etc can be made online, it would save a lot of time leading to better productivity.

1. Post card should be made free of cost (for poor people) 2. Digitization of post offices 3. Use of franking or digital method to evidence payment of stamp value and save paper for stamps 4. Encouraging on-line greetings than physical paper which should cost higher (to save paper)
