1. The no. of Post Offices could be substantially lessened so that the shabby, unfurnished POs are replaced by mighty customer friendly premises. Most of the poor POs leave the onus of work to the nearby ones and these would not be able to provide the kind of services touted to be. 2. The POs may be developed as one stop solution for all net related activities different from the cyber cafes in terms of nominal prices and trained staff to cater to the illeterate people.

IndiaPost is coming up with all services but still lack in advertising. Some suggestions are
All Post Offices should be connected online.
* SMS Service to be implemented for all bookings,
* Home pickup of mails to be initiated for better service and will be collected through postman
* Should Ensure the timely delivery of mails
* Last But Not Least, all these services should be educated among common people through TV & NewPaper Advertisements

Post offices should be converted in to " Modern centres of Information management" named "SUCHNA-OFFICES" ::: genration of information (voice-data-mage-video)/ providing gateway of information and distribution of information, should be major job of such "SUCHANA-OFFICES".They should be instrumental to achive such goals.
It should help to create network of devices (computers+ televisions +tablets+ mobile phone). Should provide infrastructure for creating wired/wireless network across country.

Modernise the post offices with internet connections and computers along with training to staffs because post offices are most easily accessible places but they have been provided least attention regarding above facilities. More over motivation training should be provided to staffs to serve the general public and maintaining the duty time strictly. They should be made competitive with other agencies like banks and private courriers system by incentives etc.

Indian Post once use to be blood of postal service, that is taken over by courier services, just because they provide pickup direct from offices.
Provide Some Specifically designed envelopes on which address can be printed on any printer.
Need a web portal from where user can save their addresses & print on envelope or paper & reprint. This web portal should generate some code or barcode which should help in sorting of posts to destination.
Pickup service should start from offices by tie-ups.

all city post offices can make AADHAR cards and edit it. AADHAR card number must be attached with all postal accounts. All rural post offices should run internet cafe(provide VPN over Broadband connections) and fill up various forms of govt jobs/citizen services means can work as Customer Service Centers for citizen services. Post offices can be collection center of INSURANCE policies of every company.

By training and modernization, Post offices will be able to provide services at par with current market players. During my visit i see post office employees struggling with the amount of paperworks. In digital age we can provide devices, such as low end tabs, to manage their work and track delivery and pickup of post. A automated process for generating a unique code whenever a person drops a letter/parcel etc to post office and real time update of these detail for others to track.
