For delivering various Citizen centric services and furthering the reach of Financial Services including Insurance, the Government of India has set up a Task Force to examine and recommend efficient utilisation and upgradation of the Post Office Network, enabled with Digital/Internet Connectivity to rural Offices and outpost areas enabling reach of different services in rural areas. This Network is also being viewed as a distribution channel to retail various schemes and services of Central Government, State Government and Private Sector Players.

Through this discussion the Department of Posts (Ministry of Communications & Information Technology) seeks suggestions on the following:

•    To provide efficient postal network and points of presence [particularly in rural areas and small towns] to Central Government Ministries / Departments, State Governments [including Local Self Government] and private sector players for delivering various citizen-centric services, scheme, products to the people.
•    To further the role of Post Offices in Financial inclusion, including Insurance products
•    The infrastructure requirements of the Post Offices and the Postal Network
•    To make the Post Offices financially viable

Last date for sending your suggestions is 30th November, 2014.

Post office still enjoys a strong network across the country specially in rural areas post office provide functions like agriculture loans and study loans it can prove more effective than banks

Bahut se logo ki transfer idhar se udhar hoti rahti hai. Lakin dak old address par aati hai. Is samasya ka samdhan on line address change ka system dakgharo me banaya jane ki jaroorat hai.

Strengthen Financial Inclusion Scheme-strengthening banking services and introducing core banking in postal sector. Leverage Postal network to create database for direct and indirect tax department by shifting PAN allotment to Postal dept .Commence with the defence sector. Tie ups as envisaged with e commerce entities to boost revenues. Encourage philately by procurement of international stamps also. Introduce franking with stamps with motifs of stamps.Provide transport raise percapita postmen

For separate vidarbha state, let there be a opinion pole of all concerned.Just like scotland, which took place in recent past.so,absolutely, no injustice to anybody who belongs to that place. And the problem will be adressed impartially. Thanks

With just a 4 local youth anywhere in India can launch a Model Initiative for -A Comprehensive &Empowering ;Holistic & Inclusive.Meaningful, Worthy and Measurable Devlpmnt & create an Institutional Work Set-up and Facilities--In every District of India which from the Start :Would not only be able to cater just the needs of all villages and towns but over a short period may even bloom and Balloon to 1000 in every District / --. Yes Can with no any Spl- bdgt-Invite any St. Gov on this.
