post office is performing well in the cities and towns but in rural areas it is still lagging behind, need of the hour is to regulate and promote these facilities from rural post offices such as selling of forms , insurance deposits, booking tickets, selling things of day to day use at more cheaper rates

first and foremost thing that is to be done is to upgrade the branch offices, sub offices and head offices are quite ok but the look and feel of post offices are worst in branch offices. standard of working is to be improved like banks, unless proper standard in not maintained and infrastructure is not upgraded nothing will happen POs are still running in laws that are made 100 years ago still using 175 yrs iron stamp, standard uniform should be given such as railways, there are many scopes sir

World largest postal network-IPS is a burden on Govt. due to non-accountability.
Few Suggestions:
1-Inclusion of PPP concept in IPS (Franchisee create jobs).
2-Like Amazon used IPS for deliveries, include Dept. to Cater all commercial needs in rural & Urban areas.
3-Improve On time delivery & Door Pickup service.
4-Include more speedy services (Fedex) & Improve existing services (Speed post).
5-Share IPS Network with private players.
6- Make IPS accountable (governance) for services.

Longest queues in POs are for banking operation and parcel/speed post. People have to buy stamp and the get into parcel queue. Suggest that if passbook updating machine (as in Banks) be installed also ATMs where possible. Work load of PO employees will lessen. Similarly 24 hr stamp vending machine will also ease much difficulty.

Create Postal Franchisee similar to Courier: This way more private people can get indirect jobs. As more people start using the postal franchisee instead of courier then automatically the Post office network would get utilized more.

Firstly One Ministry Should be made for the post services.Because today in rural areas specially of UP,Bihar there is not any kind of provision for it.
When Post Office will be installed then automatically it will increase the interest of people

What if the CSCs were integrated with the Post offices, wouldn't that prove to be a concept of mutual benefit for both institutions? Using the large penetration and infrastructure of the Postal network, the CSCs can have a wider reach and become better delivery vehicles while in-turn adding a new role and becoming a new source of income to the Post office
