post offices are our vital life line in rural india. they run every nook and corner of this country. govt can make post offices act like a
1. ATM centre
2. Banking Centre.
3. Insurance agents and notifier.
4. it can also give broadband connections in remote corners.
5. Post offices should open their Postal cyber cafes of their own with biometric identity facility.

A post office's strength is the ability to network throughout india.. Parcel Delivery or Information Delivery at a low cost can set up competition. Post office can also setup shops to send and receive gifts from one place to another through a debit/credit card...

Dear sir,
Post office network is one of the biggest network in india .It is present in every corner of our nation. I was just going through your vision of CSC to bring all the neccesity under one roof.to make it grow faster i think we can use the post office network by opening a seperate department in the post office. As it will save our time to reach people of the remotest corner of the country

Indian post has a pan India infrastructure. A post office is something that is present in vicinity of almost every Indian so it should be used for other providing other services as well. Most importantly banking services. Post offices have been handling money order for so many years so they can be integrated with banking sector. They can be linked to preferably NABARD so as easy credit can be made available to every Indian through cooperatives or otherwise.

Postoffice has very wide network in India and can be used for public services as below:
1. All Govt.(central/state/local) related documents submission activities eg. Birth/Death Certificate along with Aadhar Card, all LIC/GIC/Medical insurance related activities, submission of applications for Caste/Income certificates, submission of income tax returns, improve parcel services by adding collection agents which will create jobs for the people, selling/charging of mobile connections, ATMs.

I think the India Post is largest network than any other networks. I would like to suggest that first give preference to repair and paint our Post office building. We are working hard for increasing business but various problems like leakage of building, not painted building, insufficient printers, computers and also old rules like no power to SSPOs of more than 2 thousand.. so i request that change rules, polices, and also do audit of buildings in every years.....

I'm sure this point has also been touched upon by someone. There are multiple investment schemes available in the PO today. However, due to poor marketing they do not reach the public's ears. Moreover, due to ancient methods of piles of paperwork and lack of digitization, people tend to avoid such schemes.Government linked schemes are the safest schemes today, yet they do not get the response required due to the poor backend environment that we have decided to cling onto instead of improving them

As someone has rightly mentioned in the earlier posts, merger with the Digital India project can also give our PO's a boost as almost everyone today uses the Internet. Statuses of the deliveries should be updated timely and not just on delivery. Having the power to track your packages gives people the comfort and confidence in the network.
