For delivering various Citizen centric services and furthering the reach of Financial Services including Insurance, the Government of India has set up a Task Force to examine and recommend efficient utilisation and upgradation of the Post Office Network, enabled with Digital/Internet Connectivity to rural Offices and outpost areas enabling reach of different services in rural areas. This Network is also being viewed as a distribution channel to retail various schemes and services of Central Government, State Government and Private Sector Players.

Through this discussion the Department of Posts (Ministry of Communications & Information Technology) seeks suggestions on the following:

•    To further the role of Post Offices in Financial inclusion, including Insurance products
•    The infrastructure requirements of the Post Offices and the Postal Network
•    To make the Post Offices financially viable

We need train ticket prices varying. People will make their travel plan as per ticket cost. Like cheaper tickets will change the plans. So we won't have huge crowd at same time. Before implementing this we need common man understand this thing through TV. Railway should not give a lot of waiting tickets at the time of festivals. In festive season a train can have 1200 Wait List. Normally its double the capacity of seats in Sleeper compartment.

1. PO should have facilities to send courier, gift packages, etc and they should make a deal with big ecommerce companies like Flipkart, amazon etc. 2. PO should have faclities for printers, fax and someone to write letter for people in villages. 3. PO can also have passport services like to apply for passport etc. 4. There should be a online system to track the packages and send notification about there location. 5. Pickup the packages for delivery on the door. 6. It should be cheap

While going through news, we find things mob creating Ruckus and all. So we need to find these people and charge them. Any political party doing any harm to public property should be found out and these people to be double charged. So that they have to pay for their wrong doing. They will refrain from doing any wrong doing.

As in India we are facing lesser use of post office. In U.K i have found out that they have used Post office as a multiple counter for Driving License form & House Tax payment counter. So we are reducing the number of offices. Increasing the power of Post Office. Also here they have reduced Transport office work for licenses. So you can get Provisional license from postal application. So we can eradicate the middle man.

I think it would be best to have post office tie up with national and international delivery services to deliver their mails to the remote areas. Post office should be able to provide last mile delivery service by leveraging their existing network. This will help PO to earn money by reusing the existing network without any new investment. PO should also improve the mail tracking mechanism providing the updates to customers through various channels.

Strengthen the domestic network first by creating a "courier" type business model. Rlyws /Air India can be effectively utilized for quick point to point delivery. TO surmise, do a better "Operations Research" network model with the existing offices. We already have offices and staff we just need to crank it effectively.

In this regard some public-private partnership can be thought of and postal franchisees or “Dak Mitras” can be appointed nationwide who will be delivering various services including basic postal services and PO bank services. 6. Postal network is big in reality and its reach is also massive. We just need to use it properly and many other services can be delivered via this department like passport seva, e-governance, Courier and cargo and many more.

5. PO Savings banks need to me separated from basic postal services and there should be completely separate division of PO banks. In India PO’s reach is available in interior to interior places and PO banks are the best option to implement financial inclusion plans and making pension and insurance plans available in rural areas. But before doing this there must be a revolutionary change in the mindset of existing postal workers & they should work positively towards making such plans successful
