Post man is the nearest governmental person to interact with the society. Post offices should be made nodal centers for all the preliminary government society interaction. Free computers for web interaction, e-mail id for the needy, distribution of photo id cards, preliminary registrations through post office can be made compulsory. Post offices in rural areas should tie up with e-commerce companies and facilitate both ordering and delivery of products. Remote villages get access to the products which would be difficult for them to buy otherwise.

Previously all postman were having a rapport with all their customers. They know all members in their locality where they delivered posts. Now there is no such atmosphere. As the residential areas have grown up they struggle to cover the whole area with less staffs. Many branches with mordern amenities must be opened according to the population and area size. Beats must be increased for the quick and prompt delivery of all posts. This will attract many customers and they will come to Post Office

The reach of post office is more than any other bank present in India. If this fact is capitalized properly than post office can become one of the leading service providing and job creator institution. the govt can transform post office into a more functioning bank.2) the govt. can allow foreign/public investments to upgrade its infrastructure. Lastly aadhar and PAN could be linked to post office so that direct subsidies could be delivered.

Post Offices can be converted in to "eMitra", where common people can go & get any government related work done online with a nominal fee. In that way, the government services would be available to common man easily & post offices can be utilized effectively. The post offices need to be equipped with fast internet, scanners, printers & camera to provide these services. Thanks Sanjay
