Make whole higher education system flexible. Define academic program requirements and let students take classes as per their convenience. It's foolish to require everyone to graduate in same number of yrs. As and when students take all the credits, let them finish early (or later). Make transfer/migration hassle free. Allow people to shift colleges/universities mid-program.

Develop world-class professional organizations for all various fields of inquiry that connect national/international academicians and students for annual conference, journal publication, knowledge sharing, policy briefing etc... Currently, we have in-numerous, ineffective small organizations with hardly any big picture goals.

Presently they are not interested in India beacuse- they are not allowed to take back profits, 2ndly Indian Govt has not contacted them officially. Please contact them, ask what will they need to set up campus in India. You will save precious dollors, create jobs in India, set the bar high for Indian colleges. Mr Obama will help
