Create a film about your grandparents, and share it with us!

In the latest episode of Mann Ki Baat, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has urged Indian children to engage with their grandparents and ask them about their life as children: what sports they played, which theatre or cinema they went to, which relatives they visited, festivals they celebrated, and so on.

These stories would not just take the children to India back then, but also be an invaluable treasure for the family, to be cherished forever.

Here’s an opportunity for all children (and adults too), to interview their loved Dada-Dadis, Nana-Nanis or any other elder in the family, like ‘cub reporters’; video record the same; and share with the MyGov family!

Button dabao, kahani suno aur sunao!

I used to ask my grandparents about their childhood life. They give me interesting stories to cherish. My grandfather tells me about the ways how he used to go to farms and more interestingly, how he got ice creams only for 1paisa. On the other hand ,my grandma shares the stories of doll playing she used to do in her childhood. These all were very cherished moments. They ,still ,inspire me and share the historical and local stories. The Best Grandparents.

best part of my life is holidays in early 70's when I used to visit my grant parents who have been staying in a village where there was no power. everyone has to get up before 5AM to finish their morning duties. we play with cow, calf, plants, small animals etc morning drink is rice (previous fay) water mixed with buttermilk. no shop in the village, so every house cook same vegetable plugged from one house garden. nothing is thrown out. no water is wasted. God give me a full life in a village.
