The basic duty of the Regional Statistical Offices is to collect and submit to the Central Government the production data of the enterprises operating in a region.
This will be important for the welfare of the workers in a region and for the skill development programmes of the government.
It is very useful to collect the production changes and regular production data of the enterprises. It will be convenient for the government to provide skill development training to the required skilled workers in the surrounding regions.
If workers have any problems regarding wages and bonuses, they can seek relief from labor tribunals based on production data collected by the Department of Statistics. The production status of each sector of a company's operations should be collected separately. This will help the government to encourage strategic products and provide immediate skills and reskilling training.

The regional statistical offices should collect 100% of the production data of the companies operating in the area under their control. Furthermore, the collected data should not be provided to third parties. The production data of a multi-product company should be collected clearly.
For example, a company has been engaged in yarn production for a long time. Now, if a new company starts manufacturing shoes in the same factory, we should collect the production data of that company very carefully. If it is known that yarn production decreases and shoe production increases, it will be convenient to provide shoe production training to the employees of that company immediately with the participation of the government.
Companies are required to submit production data to the regional statistical offices on a quarterly and annual basis. If necessary, a survey should be conducted to verify its accuracy.
