The existing single-line section is heavily congested, leading to frequent train detentions, passenger inconvenience, operational inefficiencies, and revenue loss, while also constraining regional economic growth. Early approval and expeditious commencement of this project will significantly enhance passenger and freight operations and align with Indian Railways’ objectives of improved efficiency and sustainability through electrification.
