Hon’ble Prime Minister, Zara – A Student-led Innovation for Child Safety and Awareness “Zara” is a multilingual, sensor-based talking doll created by our Class XII A1C girls—Sashmidha B, Deepika P, and Yogeswari B—to educate children on the POCSO Act in Tamil, Hindi, and English. When touched, she cries “No! Don’t touch” and explains safe and unsafe touch. Built using,touch sensors, and Mini MP3 Player with human-recorded voice, electronics in our Atal Tinkering Lab. It sparked a student-led movement—our girls enacted the No-Go-Tell strategy, sang “My Body, My Right,” and demonstrated Zara on bagless day at AAA GMS, Mutharaiyarpalayam and GHS Dharmapuri. Zara made a vibrant impact at KV JIPMER and GPS Murungapakkam, where teachers now use her to sensitise children. I, S. Sriram, Physics Lecturer and proud alumnus of Ilango Adigal GHSS, Mutharaiyarpalayam, humbly share this from Puducherry, hoping it reaches our Hon’ble PM.
