Respected Hon. PM Shri Narendra Modi Ji,

I, Dr. Prabodh Halde from Thane, Maharashtra, would like to share an innovation that can significantly benefit our farmers, consumers, and economy. Jaggery production contributes Rs 40,000 crores annually, but we lose 10% of it due to microbial spoilage, resulting in a financial loss of Rs 4,000 crores. This affects farmers and limits export potential.

Inspired by my childhood experience of jaggery spoilage, I developed a sterile jaggery production technique using low-temperature microwave treatment, for which I hold a patent (No. 405615). This cost-effective method prevents spoilage, increases farmer income, and opens export opportunities. I have decided to give this technology to farmers without any commercial interest and recently presented it at World Food India.

I kindly request you to share this innovation through Mann Ki Baat to benefit farmers and contribute to Atmanirbhar Bharat.
