PARLIAMENT SESSIONS These days many sessions of the parliament/assembly are getting washed out due to agitation by the opposition. It is a shameful demonstration of our indiscipline which we watch on national TV. Why the Speaker/ chairman unable to remove the disturbing persons from the floor ? Why services of marshals are not taken in bringing discipline? This indiscipline is percolating and I have seen students not listening to the teacher sighting example of the parliament. Very strict rules must be framed and Followed. Those who disturb the working must not be paid salaries for the day but heavy penalty has to be recovered from them. Shouting, etc must stop. When we cut wages from our workers etc, why these people get paid for days they are not working and creating nuisance. Some drastic steps are required immediately otherwise things are going out of hand.

ELECTION LAWS Even after so many years, we still have old election laws where even uneducated can become a politician and occupy constitutional posts and earn lifetime benefits. Time has come when the election laws have to be completely reviewed and improved upon. There has to be minimum educational qualifications and retirement age. I would even suggest that like IAS type of training, all those who want to join politics should compulsorily go for say six month training and then free to join any party. During training, they should be taught about our constitution, procedures, civil laws etc. There is absolutely no reason for giving them lifetime pension just because they were MP or MLA for a term. All these expenses are coming out of taxes paid by public, which does not get these benefits. Similarly, fighting election as an Independent candidate should stop. An individual alone can not run the government and we are, this way, encouraging them to take any side for a price.
