Suggestions(Organic farming)
Establishment of center of Excellence and country wide network for research on organic farming. Introduction of core courses on the concept of practices of organic farming in the curriculum of UG and PG programs. Formulation of appropriate package of practices of production of different crops under organic farming system. Export groups comprising of eminent agricultural as well as social scientists and progressive farmers mey be constituted for visiting farmers associated with organic farming practices. Dissemination of knowledge of organic farming through KVK,field demonstration TV programmes and other suitable mass media etc.

Crops that are planted during the southwest monsoon season are called Kharif or monsoon crops. These crops are sown at the beginning of the monsoon season around the end of May to early June and are harvested post the monsoon rains beginning October. Rice, maize, pulses such as urad, moong dal, and millets are among the key Kharif crops.
Sowing methods of different Kharif crops Sowing places a specified quantity of seeds in the soil in the optimum position for germination and growth. At the same time, planting is putting plant propagules (seeds, seedlings, cuttings, tubers, rhizomes, clones, etc.) into the ground to grow as crop plants.
