Notwithstanding the current challenges, Indian steel industry has significant potential for growth The per capita steel consumption in India at 61 kg is much lower than the global ...
India should target for smart per capita steel consumption rather than statistical values.
Chinese steel is currently attractive. This shall be allowed & encouraged for select agricultural & Innovative products like greenhouse, nurseries etc.
Also import of finished steel products should be discouraged.
Indian steel industry should focus high quality steel production for complex application & be ready for basic steel production in case of Chinese aggression.
I would kindly request you to promote the use of steel in building structures.
Currently most the structural buildings use RCC, which not only takes huge amount of time but replacing it with steel will not only reduce time consumption but will also give generation to the steel industry that is badly needed
Why are we inclined to increase consumption of steel-expensive and energy intensive material?
No doubt it's myriad advantages-durability,elasticity,uniformity&reusability.So,its usage may be confined to lasting public utilities rather for rural and residential construction.
We've better alternatives,eg bamboo,to promote env. sustainability and employment.
One-size-fits-all theory is obsolete and we need to think sui-generis solutions.Invoking steel in everything is not advisable.
No import of steel. Use steel at Infrastructure projects like Roads, Footpaths, Pot Holes, Fencing, Bridges, Buildings, Tunnel. Use more steel in Vehicles from 2 wheelers to Multi Wheel. Start new infrastructure projects, Industry. Start new Railway’s Route, New Buses , etc. Start Container Manufacturing, Steel Furniture. Build In house Navy Ships / Ship yards. Building Structure (Beam & pillers) of steel. Reduce prices. Manufacture good quality steel, Processed steel. Agri Instruments.
open metallurgy institutes in every district - Sardar Vallabai Patel Institute of Metallurgy - tribute to iron man of India. educate and create careers and simultaneously open industrial clusters with Make in India theme. job creating through skilling-consumption will be in place.
and increase the steel import duty very high and make production in India and we will get more steel usage in India, make mining policy immly for all mining products and more easier way to get permits and movements
Stop all Imports of construction steel and reduce the steel costs a little bit, but 1st thing is to settle the mining policy to get raw materials properly, as we are not able to get raw materials of mining products in south India, then stopping of raw materials exports and increasing finished good of all mining products will increase the sales and production of steel and get more labor works and days, it is very good for future.
Steel Dustbins, highly promoting mechanised farming & encouraging manufacturing of more farming equipments out of steel....promotion of steel furniture in all govt & govt aided offices....& also use of steel in manufacturing of toys.We can even make small steel boxes where food can be stored in refrigerators as fresh items. Thanks & Rgards

sir,
we can make footpath barrier, road barriers, steel channel drainage systems, steel drainage grate, steel drainage pipes, steel water tank for houses, public water tank, steel pothole.
It will be better if we keep a steel dust bin in every corner of the road so that it will help to keep roads free from garbage.
we can make automatic steel road block to catch someone who is escaping in car from police.
we can make steel road divider instead of concrete, steel road plates.
Issue steel with zinc for all infrastructure projects including house construction at cost plus basis and absorbing the excess above market rate for ensuring safety and life of such projects.
