Start Date :
Oct 15, 2015
Last Date :
Nov 16, 2015
00:00 AM IST (GMT +5.30 Hrs)
To have a liveable Smart City Plan for Kohima, every Stakeholder and Citizen of Kohima is now invited to contribute valuable ideas towards the building of Kohima Smart City. Our ...
1. Construction of good and sustainable roads with the best available technology, which will also significantly boost tourism.
2. Efficient water supply to all the households through the use of metering system.
3. Construction of ropeways to solve the problem of traffic jam.
4. Construction of vehicle parking place in favourable places, which will open the space on the road immensely and create less congestion on the road.
-Kohima really needs good (latest) communication and transportation facility.
-Government hospitals with latest equipment and facilities.
-Uninterrupted power supply.
-Taxis in Kohima should run on meter basis. And a proper office where passengers can make complains.
-Clean and modern infrastructures.
-A proper site or a building for those vendors doing business on foot-paths.
Do you guys think Aerial trams will work in kohima?https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aerial_tramway
1.Present site of Assam Rifle's HQ(N) camp be shifted. And an international-standard-stadium be constructed.
2.Sanitation workers, trash cans and proper drainage system for a clean city.
3.The govt. should make rules for new building construction in the city.
4.Roads should be properly metalled.
5.Construction of a parking site be considered.
6.Flowers or bonsai-tree be planted along the roads or where ever possible to make Kohima greener and beautiful.
Drainage:
Storm Drainage big enough to have provision for underground laying of Pipes/wiring.
Now talking about modernisation of police force ; i would lije to suggest 1.
I.e; every locality be it resudental or business set up a siren post connected that any paser by sees witness , observe crime, intolerance , fight etc rings the siren loud and clear . In addition the police post identifies and patrol team reaches the spot in a minute.
Public Parking:
1. Local Ground should be converted to a Parking Area with a new entry from New NST side where present multi storey structure is coming up.
-New exit towards the D-Block area
*Main town parking should be restricted and trolley should be provided like the Airports where one can take it to the parking area.
-North side of Local ground entry of vehicles may be restricted and the market that side may be converted to walking street.
Plantation and foot paths:
1. Widening of foot path within the town and having paved/tiled path.
2.Plantation with ornamental plants/trees along the road side within the City limit to enhance the visual appeal and for a green cover (A concrete environment without any Greenery is not appealing).
Road widening:
1.PHQ junction to Mezhur foot over bridge (widening by at least 15-20 feet)
2.Kezieke to High school and towards Meriema junction
3.All inter colony roads wherever possible.
3.Below Ladies mile road to kohima By-pass and beyond
Ring Road: A 2 lane ring road with service lane in the periphery of kohima town connecting all the arterial roads of the colonies.
