We need to understand that should we want our Tourism sector to succeed then Govt. instead of creating a destination then making futile efforts to popularize it /sell it. To create a tourist destination --ensure there is a robust need --Then gestation period will be less+high % ge of success. Understand saleability potential of each product and market it to the potential segment. The basic infrastructure i.e. Hotels, restaurants,transport,security etc are still there is not quality assurance.

Namaskar, since this box will not suffice, I am attaching a small brief of 8 points which to my mind are essential for creating Tourist Friendly destinations. I have gathered these points on the basis of extensive domestic travel and little bit of travel outside the country. Very few of our destinations match up to these basics and the situation is exactly the opposite when you travel abroad.
