We should develop and use the technology to clean, blend and create compact blocks from raw coal for selling it to consumers as per their requirement of GCV and Ash and moisture. This will help in clean transport and handling.

In coal sector transportation is involved which ensure lot of money. Also there is no monitoring in the transport made from the site to destination. We should involve tracking system right from starting point to end destination with builtin cctv ,IPRF. completely integrated so that complete system becomes transparent.

probably indian railways charges the same tariff for goods/coal transportation irrespective of distance.
this policy is probably harming indian economy and development of coal rich states.
if this policy is modified power plants and captive power plants based factories will be stationed nearer to coal mines ensuring minimal loss to railways in transportation and balanced development of minerals rich backward states

Sir, It is well known to everyone that to produce more coal it is essential for electricity , coal india has No. of captive power plants to generate electricity , but they are not in operation , for example CPP,Moonidih, Dhanbad (a Unit of BCCL )e.t.c.For that crores & crores Rupees has invested from the public fund , without any out put. Pl lease out these Units as quick as possible, so that Collieries and washaries could get uninterrupted power to produce more coal for the Nation.

Any biomass waste – from wood to peanut shells – releases carbon as it decomposes. But it can be burned in a kiln by pyrolysis (an airless burning technique) to create biochar, also known by the soubriquet green coal. The biochar is then dug back into the ground in order to lock carbon into the soil following a system set out by ancient South American civilisations – which exposes the idea as nothing new. What is groundbreaking, however, is using it to mitigate our current predicament

CIL is major source for coal in India, but it has zero infrastructure and proper administration to fulfill needs. The main reason for this pathetic condition is poor tendering in purchase and maintenance works. If Govt. of India provides a separate independent agency who can hear, analyse and carry out all tendering works of CIL, This company can concentrate on coal production entirely instead of wasting its manpower resources in tendering works.

If theft is controlled effectively, significant productivity and production can be obtained, coal based system to be complimented with solar power!

CIL be made more efficient by employing best manpower & modern technology. Coal import be discouraged, so that CIL profitability is increased and employees get paid best salary. Coal mafia be ended by employing best concerned officers. *** Jai Hind ***
