Dear Citizens of Rajkot,

The Rajkot Municipal Corporation (RMC) is all set to re-invigorate the Smart City proposal preparation process as part of Round II of the Smart City Mission. The City missed the first list by a whisker and is poised to ensure success this time around. RMC is currently working closely with the citizens to strengthen its smart city proposal. The participation of citizens is absolutely crucial in ensuring the success of our city.

We request you for your suggestion and inputs for improvement of our city’s proposal submitted in the Round I. Your views on smart solutions and city priorities would help us to further innovate and strengthen the proposal for the Round II. Kindly give suggestions for improvement of services within the city with focus on physical and social infrastructure plans. The Broad spectrum of service areas is provided below:

• Adequate water supply including waste water recycling and storm water reuse,
• Assured electricity supply including solar power,
• Sanitation, including solid waste management,
• Efficient urban mobility and public transport,
• Affordable Housing, especially for poor,
• Robust IT connectivity and digitalization,
• Good Governance, especially e-Governance and citizen participation,
• Sustainable environment,
• Ensuring safety of citizens, especially women and elderly, and
• Health and Education

I want to introduce smart card system for RMTS and BRTS.
I have prepared report on Intelligent transportation system by recommending smart card system.
Introduction of LED with the combination of GPS system for BRTS station.
Open spaces should be converted into Recreational areas such as Parks and play grounds, jogging gardens etc.
Storm water drainage system should be proper at 150 feet Ring road.
Providing proper on street parking facilitates by providing parking spaces.

Enforcement of traffic rules and regulations by improving knowledge of traffic technologies with the civic sense.
Reduction of traffic congestion problems by introducing Intelligent transportation system.
Introduction of smart card system for RMTS and BRTS.
Improvement for storm water drainage system.
Conservation of water by rain harvesting system.
Parking space should be allotted for the enforcement of parking rules introduction of multi storey building.

1.Should have special corridor for the disable person with special smart volunteers.Must be special facility like separate ATM for Disable person so as to enter with their wheel chair.

I like rajkot because it is my native. I have a flat in the city to refresh myself from Vadodara. However, I found lack of traffic sense, 1. short cut on wrong side should be stopped. 2. should give indicator to turn right or left 3. the police checking should be more. 4. more and more cctv. 5. community stickers on the car should be removed.6. of course, bulls, i mean bulls are more than cows on the roads. some time they do fight and hampering the traffic.

1) Generate Automated Transport system to reduce traffic and pollution
2) Dust mining multi purpose project
3) Green cover project

Maximum use of Public Transport System.
Cleanliness should be maintain in all areas of rajkot.

1.Reduce the crime rate.There should be police aid post operational between 8pm to 8am for ensuring safety of women.We should make the city safe for women
2. Obey the traffic rule when you ride the vehicle.
3. Reduce the no of queue in-fort of train,bus,bank,gov. office,Hospital.
