The Municipal Corporation Tirupati is pleased to inform you that our city has been selected under Round 2 for Smart City Mission under the Ministry of Urban Development (MoUD). Round 2 of smart cities challenge is been provided to 54 cities to upgrade their proposals whose city is not covered in the list of 20. Tirupati is one of them! In this phase, our city has to compete with 54 other cities, enhance our proposal and become eligible for funding in 2016-17.

The city needs to refine its vision, strategic focus, mission and a proposal based upon Gap assessment and suggestions received from panel of expert and MoUD. We urge you to share your ideas and be an integral part of the journey towards making Tirupati a smart city! Read the Draft Smart City Proposal

•A sharing economy, instead of a buying economy. If we share or rent from each other, we each need to buy and store fewer goods — think Rent the Runway, Netflix, Airbnb. On a similar note, there should be apps to help you find charities that actually need the stuff you want to toss, such as Zealous Good in Chicago.

•Widespread use of traffic rerouting apps, such as Greenway and Waze. The average person spends 60 hours in traffic each year, according to Greenway; these apps calculate the best route for each driver to speed up traffic flow and reduce CO2 emissions. They also ensure that a traffic jam on one boulevard doesn't just get displaced to another area.

tirupati is WELL KONWN PILIGRIMAGE WITH TIRUMALA ON ITS CARDS. SO THE BEAUTY OF NALLAMAL HILLS SHOULD NOT BE TROUBLED AND MEASURES TO BE TAKEN TO CURB SMUGGLING OF WOOD AND ANIMALS. MAKING THE STRRETS CLEAN AND "ROPE WAY" TO TIRUMALA FROM TIRUPATI SHOULD BE STARTED. PROMOTING SOLAR ENERGY AND BATTERY AUTOS IN LOCAL PILLIGRIMAGE SIGHT SEEING

More than smart city --- we need to build better villages so the cities are not congested.

1. Railway link from International Airport, Renigunta to Srivari Mettu, a least expensive proposal as link already exists between Renigunta and Srivasa Mangapuram unmanned level cross.
2.Restoration of ancient and historic Avilala and Perur tanks as per the SCI Judgment dated February 23rd, 2006.
3.Establishment of electric crematorium to reduce pressure on land for burial grounds.
4.Establishment of ropeway from Srivari Mettu to entry point at Tirumala which does not affect agamasastra.

Sir please make solar panels compulsory for all houses with a cost exceeding 1 crore.This proposal shall be extended to other smart cities.
