With the GST coming into effect from 1st July, 2017, the biggest indirect tax reform of independent India, is going to transform the way indirect tax is administered in this country, impacting not just businesses but also the common man. GST is a tax on consumption of goods and services, which is levied at all stages right from manufacturing up to final consumption, with credit of taxes paid at previous stages available as setoff. It is going to remove the tax-on-tax effect through separate Central and State tax laws. In a nutshell, under GST, only value addition will be taxed , hence, reducing the burden of tax to be borne by the final consumer.

The most fundamental change in GST besides the consolidation of multiple taxes, is the use of a robust shared IT infrastructure in its operations. All the forms related to registrations, filing returns and other related activities can now be done through the GSTN Portal.

GST will help build an economically stronger India, with 'One Nation, One Tax, One Market.'

The Hon PM,
Pl let GST save genuine purchasers who invest their life savings to own home & find that for no fault of theirs, they are served with look out notices by Police & Courts just because Registrar registered the same property twice & Building Control Regulatory Authorities issued building & occupation permits & Municipalities collect House Tax & Utility Corporations issue connections. Why can't all these people be held responsible too. A person with CBI connections claims the property.

The Hon PM,
Suggestion reg GST on real estate. Just like Certificate of Incorporation of a Company cannot be challenged, Certificate of Title to Immovable Property should also be final & registration system should ensure that it cannot be challenged. This means just like Stocks are traded on an electronic platform, Immovable Property must have Unique Identification Number & traded through electronic platform by establishing Land Exchanges. RERA missed a chance to fight big fraud & corruption.

The Hon PM,
Glad that GST is to transform India including Real Estate Sector. People pay GST & purchase flats from Builders that got all building control regulations & approvals and the Registrar registers them. The purchaser happily lives in the property. Few years down the line, someone backed by powerful people claims the land belongs to him & lodges criminal proceedings through influencing police and Courts issue look out notices. How a poor man who paid GST clear his name & protect self?

GST is definitely a huge leap, but it has a few shortcomings. The most important reason why GST might result in chaotic India than United India, would be too much complication in filing taxes. Why tax a single item with different rates! Why bother taxing a cashew nut with different rates, i.e. x% if it is raw and y% if it is salted? Why so many complications? If a screw is used in a machine - 18% but if used in automobiles - 28%! We need to adress thsi issue asap to make GST actually simple!

I'm suggesting as follows.
I'm a small scale industrialist. We normally supply to MSEs and LSEs. Our customers normally pay us after 45 to 90 days. If due to financial constraints we fail to pay GST in time, our customers will blacklist us.
My Suggestion is that if Government makes our Large scale customers to pay the GST from our dues to government on our behalf and in time, then we will be able to continue with the business. Else we will have to face the threat of self extinction.

1)1 country, 1 Tax, 1% Transaction Tax
up to 1 Cr Turnover for all categories

2) Root cause of Poverty is
Colonial complex Rules to Rule then
continued till today?

3) As say,Hundred Rupee Note Changes hand 100 Times in One year!
So 1% Tax means more collection with Peace&
28% Tax with paper work means less Tax collection?

4)For Cash Received
pay 1% Tax
like Post paid Mobile
Pay INR 10-
for every 1,000- Received
Payable by mobile

5)So all cash Transactions
will be Treaceble
