With the GST coming into effect from 1st July, 2017, the biggest indirect tax reform of independent India, is going to transform the way indirect tax is administered in this country, impacting not just businesses but also the common man. GST is a tax on consumption of goods and services, which is levied at all stages right from manufacturing up to final consumption, with credit of taxes paid at previous stages available as setoff. It is going to remove the tax-on-tax effect through separate Central and State tax laws. In a nutshell, under GST, only value addition will be taxed , hence, reducing the burden of tax to be borne by the final consumer.

The most fundamental change in GST besides the consolidation of multiple taxes, is the use of a robust shared IT infrastructure in its operations. All the forms related to registrations, filing returns and other related activities can now be done through the GSTN Portal.

GST will help build an economically stronger India, with 'One Nation, One Tax, One Market.'

Hotels even though collect GST (small value bills) do not mention buyers GST number in their bills, denying benefit of ITC. A dealer after collecting tax not making payment to gov, the benefit of ITC is not available to the buyer. I suggest gov to introduce pre paid GST card for which GST is paid on its value, and all purchase made with the card seller need not collect tax.

Dear Sir ,I like to take your attention towards coin situation in many parts of our country.Because of supply of so much coins in market small enterprises are suffering deeply because if any small enterprise is getting registered in GST then they should issue a tax invoice on sale of there product but because of so much coins in market and banks are refusing to except them all customers are taking product from those business firms which are accepting these coins.why banks are refusing to take it

My organisation has major operations predominantly as service from our Chennai office for the past 20 years and smaller operations in 3 other cities in other state. Our services are for projects pan India, including states where we do not have registration. We are anticipating problems in getting credit in our books for GST payments made by us in unregistered states. Please address this issue to make carrying out business in India from anywhere easy.
