With the GST coming into effect from 1st July, 2017, the biggest indirect tax reform of independent India, is going to transform the way indirect tax is administered in this country, impacting not just businesses but also the common man. GST is a tax on consumption of goods and services, which is levied at all stages right from manufacturing up to final consumption, with credit of taxes paid at previous stages available as setoff. It is going to remove the tax-on-tax effect through separate Central and State tax laws. In a nutshell, under GST, only value addition will be taxed , hence, reducing the burden of tax to be borne by the final consumer.

The most fundamental change in GST besides the consolidation of multiple taxes, is the use of a robust shared IT infrastructure in its operations. All the forms related to registrations, filing returns and other related activities can now be done through the GSTN Portal.

GST will help build an economically stronger India, with 'One Nation, One Tax, One Market.'

Respected PM
GST ek desh ek tax yah acchi idea he .Lekin GST ke vajah se lottery industry ka business loss me he aur lottery ki dukan me jitne bhi kam karne wale ladke he vo sab berojgar ho gaye he,yah jamini hakikat h.hamare desh me dusra kam milna itna assan bhi nhi he.mera yeh kahna he ki jo GST lottery ki tikat par direct lagaya h use tikat par na lagate huye company ke profit/loss par lagaya jaye.aisa hua to sabhi ko phir se kam mila jayega.

Sir,As GST is going to make business/excise and sakes tax easy..pl take steps to simplify Income tax as well.As in GST.everyone has to confirm the purchase and sales online..in the same way, everyone should be bound to make/receive the payment to supplier/customer and it should be confirmed online with a proof of payment i.e. RTGS NEFT IMPS CHQ OR DD. ..in the absence of timely payments...way bill and INPUT TAX CREDIT should get blocked ..this will decrease crime and increase fair business.

High tax rate on luxury goods is understandable but why on capital goods? Capital goods like Bearing Housings, Plumber Blocks and Gear Boxes (HSN 8483) & Carbon electrodes (HSN 8545) are typically required for infrastructure building and should have been taxed at a lowest rate to allow more factories to come up

Whenever I go to purchase any home need product, the shop keeper always insists to give cash and when I request a bill, he will give on an estimation paper and I am sure that he will burn the bill book at the end of month. This means that, most of these are unaccounted products and can we ensure that each produce(above 50 rs) will have a unique tag which the consumer can verify at a gov site to see if it is accounted for ?. Any two people having the same tag means some of them are unaccounted.

Dear Prime Minister,
Also, the government is loosing both Income Tax & GST on such bookings. Our whole industry is suffering because of this. More so, because Input Tax Credit is not allowed to passengers for such expenses. We would request you to ask the finance/commerce ministries to regulate these websites so that there is level playing field for us.

Dear Prime Minister,
I am in the business of booking hotels & tour packages for Indians travelling abroad. GST @ 5% has been imposed for tour packages & @ 18% has been imposed for only hotel bookings. There are several Online Foreign Websites which do not have offices in India. They are not charging any GST as they are not a registered company in India. These websites also have the facility of payment on arrival directly to hotels. Hence, we are loosing most of our business to such websites.
