Cases in Which registration is compulsory.
>>> A person receiving supplies on which tax is payable by recipient on reverse charge basis
A Private Limited Company (which is a Corporate Entity) has Output Services Turnover of less than Rs.20 Lacs.Hence it can be URD as regards to GST registration. However this Company is receiving Supplies on which GST is paid to RCM basis, like Security,Pest Control,Purchase of Printing & Stationery, Professional Service from Lawerys.
Is GST reg. Compulsory?
Imposition of GST on a person required to get registration due to coverage u/s 9(3) i.e. reverse charge on specific transaction should be restricted to only such tax and he must not be imposed to comply all other process of collection and payment of tax.
This provision will lead to many small businessmen to get registered despite the fact that their turnover is very much less than threshold limit of Rs. 20 Lakh.
GST is good for the transparent and honest tax payers. Make Govt administration work in supporting the Tax payer. Do not harass the honest tax payers. Smooth functioning of GST will decide the future of India and the Govt as well. So make all positive and flexible efforts to easy roll out of GST.

I am working as a Travel Agent under Commission Model wish to when I book my accrued incomes at the end of a financial year do I need to pay GST on accrued incomes or when I actually receive them. If I don't book on accrual basis my accounting goes wrong if I book on accrued basis and pay GST on accrued income my principal will not accept my invoice since it is not due as yet. My principal will ask to raise invoice at a later date in that case I am forced to pay GST twice. Please revert.
