With the GST coming into effect from 1st July, 2017, the biggest indirect tax reform of independent India, is going to transform the way indirect tax is administered in this country, impacting not just businesses but also the common man. GST is a tax on consumption of goods and services, which is levied at all stages right from manufacturing up to final consumption, with credit of taxes paid at previous stages available as setoff. It is going to remove the tax-on-tax effect through separate Central and State tax laws. In a nutshell, under GST, only value addition will be taxed , hence, reducing the burden of tax to be borne by the final consumer.

The most fundamental change in GST besides the consolidation of multiple taxes, is the use of a robust shared IT infrastructure in its operations. All the forms related to registrations, filing returns and other related activities can now be done through the GSTN Portal.

GST will help build an economically stronger India, with 'One Nation, One Tax, One Market.'

Dear PM & FM, Provide facility to general public to check whether GST paid by them really paid to govt by vendor or not.Our Concern is vendor may charge GST though he may be exempted based on turnover and still charge GST and put tax money to his pocket.

Modi ji , Small vendors trying to cheat public in the name of GST .Even vegetable vendors increasing rates saying it is due to GST.Those who let out their house for residence purpose also increasing Rent on account of GST.Kindly make awareness program for at least continuous 3 months to help general public.Request & Suggestion: completely exempt Expenses related to Education. Also please allow individuals to take benefit of GST paid on our purchases with our Income tax.

If a restaurant is on the "3%gst composite scheme for being below 75 lakhs turnover" are they allowed to charge the customer at 12% or 18% gst? What happens to the extra charge? Why should the customer pay for the profit of the supplier in the name of tax?

Sir Modiji, Implementing GST and expecting Businessmen and Chartered Accountants to be honest will not solve the problem of Tax collection. For example today I went to a restaurant and paid GST on a bill of about Rs. 68. What is the guarantee that it will come to govt treasury? Hence when I paid the tax only I know and havevthe bill of the same. If I am given a option to submit the bill to the Income Tax department with the GST IN number of the restaurant only then you will be able track.

There has been new notification by government by mapping services in GST in 4 digit HSN heading. This is having bigger issue in mapping the same as each of this heading is having multiple tax rates. Logically we should have 8 digit HSN codes against these services with the similar logic of Chapter:heading: subheading:subsub heading. This is normal logic for any HSN code defination why the same is not followed while defining HSN code for services.Seek clarity and correction on this immediately.

Respected PM Modiji
All the indutry(especially hotel & similar industry) has kept all the menu prices same preventing their profit so most important thing in the industry.(Not only Hotel but others too.)
1)Government is talking about anti profeetairing of the product & commodity. If the menu basic prices are same and the additional GST is recovered from end customer then is it that hotel industry was never paying the taxes earlier.
2)If yes then in such cases what is the mechanism to prevent

Education is considered as the base c priority for any student. The growth of the country totally depend on how well the younger slot is groomed. It is highly stressful for the parents to pay education fees in coachings and other stuff and you increased it to 18%. I went to a coaching class yesterday for the preparation of CAT EXAM. They increased there fees from 25000 to 30000and now if we include GST ASWELLITBECOMES=35400.These 5400 is a big got damn deal for a middle class family.#humambaninh

Hon'ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji,
Sir Good Morning and have a good day ! Here is just a suggestion... if necessary we do have to review this after some time through some experts and with the feedback from the common people... by making a small survey that how our country people all feel regarding this and then if need we do have to amend or bring some changes for the welfare of the tax payers... to be very frank , it's an historic move and its all about your hard work...! Thank you !
