With the GST coming into effect from 1st July, 2017, the biggest indirect tax reform of independent India, is going to transform the way indirect tax is administered in this country, impacting not just businesses but also the common man. GST is a tax on consumption of goods and services, which is levied at all stages right from manufacturing up to final consumption, with credit of taxes paid at previous stages available as setoff. It is going to remove the tax-on-tax effect through separate Central and State tax laws. In a nutshell, under GST, only value addition will be taxed , hence, reducing the burden of tax to be borne by the final consumer.

The most fundamental change in GST besides the consolidation of multiple taxes, is the use of a robust shared IT infrastructure in its operations. All the forms related to registrations, filing returns and other related activities can now be done through the GSTN Portal.

GST will help build an economically stronger India, with 'One Nation, One Tax, One Market.'

Respected Sir
The entire nation is shifting to single taxation and the change requires complete clarity in educating the tax payers. Its unfortunate to see there is no single domin email address like sevakendra_townname@gst.co.in to reach the right commissionarate for getting clarity from respective offices. Can someone at the senior level take necessary action to address the same. We have email id like abccccd@gmail.com. which is ridiculous to understand.

Respected sir
There should be portal to enter GST invoice details to each PAN holder.
So that every GST invoice ll be submitted to Tax department and GST no holder ll have to submit GST of every invoice. Right now many GST no holder not paying GST for every invoice against good sold to end user who is not having GST no.
If government give relaxation for 0.5 % in Income Tax to PAN holder for GST paid every GST invoice automatically get submitted to goverment.

Kindly change GST from 18% to 5% for labour jobs as other wise this high amount to be paid to the Govt. every month will kill the finances of the labour industry and eventually also kill the employment generating industry itself. Labour jobs are done by small entrepreneurs only at 5-10% margins and not the large organisations. If required you may not provide ITC for the 5% charged for Labour Charges. By maintaining detailed records the small entrepreneur need additional staff for GST accounting.

I am Service Tax assessee since 2003 [under which Trade name was not relevant]. Anticipating possible delays, I did not issue any Invoices in July 2017 & will be forced to do same for August also. This is to minimize complexities.

the gst registered companies can raise bill collect tax and pay after some days. For example, in hotels and restaurants, the bills can be replaced overnight. no monitoring system. If a restaurant sale is ten lakhs per day as per original bill, he can reduce it to one lakh and he will pay gst for that one lakh only. The billing system itself should be from GSTN portal and nobody can cheat. When the tax is collected from public no need to keep it. we can instantly transfer tax amount to govt acnt
