With the GST coming into effect from 1st July, 2017, the biggest indirect tax reform of independent India, is going to transform the way indirect tax is administered in this country, impacting not just businesses but also the common man. GST is a tax on consumption of goods and services, which is levied at all stages right from manufacturing up to final consumption, with credit of taxes paid at previous stages available as setoff. It is going to remove the tax-on-tax effect through separate Central and State tax laws. In a nutshell, under GST, only value addition will be taxed , hence, reducing the burden of tax to be borne by the final consumer.

The most fundamental change in GST besides the consolidation of multiple taxes, is the use of a robust shared IT infrastructure in its operations. All the forms related to registrations, filing returns and other related activities can now be done through the GSTN Portal.

GST will help build an economically stronger India, with 'One Nation, One Tax, One Market.'

As we have taken a big steps by implementing GST and make economy more stronger i see still there are lot of loop holes which should have added in GST for example

1. Doctors(General) -- They deal in cash and there are no proof of how much they earn and we
all know how much a general physician takes now days.
2. The lawyers
I guess these should also be considered and included in central monitoring which earn huge amount of taxes for government.

Hon. PM and team has made great effort to implement historical GST act, has been succesfully come into force from today, the Inauguration in parliament hall at night session yesterday was memorable, congratulations to hon. PM , Hon. FM and team for successful GST, I want to suggest that, it is relief to assessee for giving few months relief in filling simple returns, further, the late filling fees should 100/ per first week & 200/for 2nd week, there after 100/- per day,maximum 2000/-,best wishes

Countries with GST have very high per person income.
And countries which have so many types of taxes are very poor and mismanaged.

It's a begging of a new Era for our Nation. Indirect taxing system has been much simplified than before. Now everyone will be able to know how many tax they are paying to their government for buying a product with out any complication.

आदरणीय प्रधानमंत्री जी प्रयास से तथा जेटलीजी के सहयोग से भारत ने एक जुलाई 2017 को एक नये युग में विश्व में प्ररवेश किया है निश्चय ही इससे भारत वैशिवक अर्थव्यस्वथा मे उचचतम स्थान प्राप्त करेगा तथा साथ ही पूरे भारत मे एक बाजार और एक ही कराधान व्यवस्था लागू होगी ।कालाबाजारी खत्म होगी ।गरीबों और आमजन को इससे लाभ होगा जय हिंद

I AM HAPPY THAT GST IS FINALLY IMPLEMENTED IN OUR COUNTRY.NOW,I WANT UNIFORM CIVIL CODE TO BE IMPLEMENTED IN INDIA.

मोदी सरकार की ओर से जीएसटी लागू करके देश के अंदर एक क्रांतिकारी कदम उठाया है। इस से यहां काले धन पर अंकुश लगाने की तरफ कदम बढ़ाया जाएगा वहीं ब्लैक मार्केट के उपर कंट्रोल लगेगा। सरकार को पूरे टैक्स मिलेंगे। देश विकास के पथ की ओर से आगे बढ़ेगा। जीएसटी लागू करने की योजना को हम सलाम करते है।
