आज के तनाव पूर्ण माहौल में बच्चों को समझना और समझाना बेहद मुश्किल भरा काम हो गया है। आज के युवा होते बच्चे आधुनिकता की चपेट में हैं। वे अभी इतने परिपक्व नहीं हुये कि ज़माने की उलझनों को समझ सकें। एक ओर जहां नई-नई टेक्नॉलोजी का विकास हुआ है, वहीं उसके नुकसान भी दिख रहे हैं। इस नई तकनीक में वे इतने ज्यादा लिप्त हो गये कि संवाद करना भूल गये हैं। इस अंतर ने उन्हें अकेला भी कर दिया है। और इस कारण वे आत्मकेन्द्रित हो गये हैं। हम उन्हें दोष देते हैं, जबकि हमने कभी इस बारे में गहराई से जानने की कोशिश ही नहीं की। जब हम इस उम्र के बच्चों से बात करते हैं, तो पता चलता है कि उनके दिमाग में क्या चल रहा है?वे क्या महसूस करते हैं? स्कूल, कॉलेजस में अलग-अलग बैक ग्राउंड से बच्चे आते हैं। ये बच्चे अपनी पर्सनल लाइफ में या अपने स्कूल कॉलेज में क्या डील कर रहे हैं, ये हमें नहीं पता। और अंत में इनकी यही समस्यायें स्ट्रेस या तनाव में आकर अटकती हैं। देखा जाये तो इस उम्र के बच्चे उतने ही तनाव की ओर जा रहे हैं, जितना कि एक कामकाजी इंसान तनाव लेता है।
