Save 1000 newborns daily with oral cefixime 7
Cefixime is oral. Affordable, available medicine to save thousands of newborns daily. DO not neglect this letter. Try it. Give up if it fails.
Those who oppose this contribute to 1000 + newborn deaths by obstructing life saving idea.
Save 1000 newborns daily with oral cefixime 6 Focal infection developed in 2 infants in the cefixime group.( conjunctivitis 2, pyoderma 1).We also noted that some babies did not like the taste of oral cefixime as noted by their facial expression while taking the drug.
Conslusion : Oral cefixime appears to be safe and effective alternative to parentally administered ampicillin and tobramycin in preventing early onset sepsis in infants at risk of infection.
Save 1000 newborns daily with oral cefixime 5
Results: 124 neonates were enrolled ( 56 in oral cefixime, 68 in parental ampicillin tobramycin group ). The groups were comparable for weight, gestation, duration and type of antibiotic received prior to delivery and risk factors for sepsis. Only one baby in cefixime group developed septicaemia. Side effects of oral cefixime included vomiting in 3 infants ( 5.4%) and increased stooling frequency in 8 infants (14.4 %).
Save 1000 newborns daily with oral cefixime 4
Those born on odd dates were given intravenous ampicillin and tobramycin and served as control. Antibiotics were given for 5 days.Cord samples of babies were evaluated for Hb, TLC, DLC, general blood picture, micro Esr, and C reactive protein. Babies were followed up daily in hospital for signs and symptoms suggestive of sepsis and any adverse effect of drugs.
Save 1000 newborns daily with oral cefixime 3
Babies with birth asphyxia, meconeum aspiration syndrome, any other condition which precluded oral feeding e.g. apneic spells were excluded. Also excluded were babies who developed septicaemia within 8 hours of birth despite receiving prophylactic antibiotics. Neonates born on even dates were given oral cefixime 8 mg/kg./day as a single dose within 2 hours of birth. Those born on odd dates were given intravenous ampicillin and tobramycin
Save 1000 newborns daily with oral cefixime 2
Setting : Neonatology unit of tertiary hospital.
Methods: Babies of gestational age of 34 weeks or more and birth weight of 1.8kg. or more with one or more of following risk factors were included.: (1). Leaking per vagina > 18 hours. (2) Maternal intrapartum fever ( > 38 degrees centigrade), and ( 3 ) foul smelling liquor. All these babies were otherwise healthy and asymptomatic at birth.
Save 1000 newborns daily with oral cefixime. They die with sepsis see details in following paragraphs.1

Department of Paediatrics Institute of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu University Varanasi 221005
Objective: To compare the efficacy and safety of oral cefixime with parental ampicillin and tobramycin in prevention of early onset neonatal septicaemia.
Setting : Neonatology
Science, Math & Technology are practical subjects which are taught theoretically in current schooling system. Every child has a different pace of learning for these subjects. If we allow the child to follow his pace & provide support to overcome weakness then the child will not hate these subjects. So the system should be strengthening the strengths & improving the weakness of child by working with him rather than forcing him to follow the pace decided by some education board.
Language and spelling must be emphasized as due to computer and tablets children are not paying attention to this. typing course must be introduced and made mandatory from class 3-4 onwards. Digital India is future and many people operate computer with 2 finger- typing making compulsory will improvise speed
Learning outcome mostly depend upon how many classes/lectures has been missed by a student in a academic session/year.I let you know that I was a average student and I never feel weak in maths
1. I was memorized for tables from 1 to 20.This helped me to multiply fast and first
2. I was practiced mathematics questions throughout of the year.
3. Teachers gave sufficient time to me to tryout answers.
4. All formula was derived and then memorized by teachers.
5. Very few class missed by me.
