What are the steps NRI can take in order to promote Indian culture abroad both locally and across the nation in which they live?
Sell "Green Zone Pass" to NRIs for 500 USD or so ....allow bringing anything to India .. What's the point in nonsense custom thing. It just promote corruption.. Abolish that department / restrict only to security related thing.
Simple steps can be Gift India Origin Gifts as Business Gifts. There is huge positive attraction towards India. By giving gifts like "Warli Paintings" / Local crafts we can built better business relations at the same time help someone in country to get money. I recently did it from http://www.exoticindiaart.com It worked perfectly well :)
Awareness and knowledge is the key to promote Indian Culture. Reach and effect maximum people on festivals with info on India, Indian food, clothes, tourism etc. Plan small activities to celebrate occasions. Encourage people to visit India and experience the wide variety of culture. In work and at home follow Indian values like Atithi Devo Bhava, offer food to others first, at times greet them as in our culture etc. Influence people with our core Indian values and it will spread Indian culture.
firstly nri needs to be given the power of voting in elections electronically or via post thru indian embassy ...we need be a part of the system to make a change
firstly all NRI should not forget there festivels and culture.Specially on the eve of festivel they all follow there culture in indian style and invites all indians as well as there friends from that country in which they are living.Show that what a indian culture is ?...with this dressing sense should be indian, it will impact much on it.If possible gave dress code to foreign friend in indian.
Shortly election are organize in maharastra & Election in maharastra is live & death for BJP If BJP really wanted to win the election but BJP do not forget money power hold by congress &NCP and also their cast power Congress hold Maratha power & Bhujbal NCp hold power of money & OBC vote bank where as MNS loss his vote bank only one way remaim before BJP honest service to society at large & for this in misiom cleaned India adopt two district 1) NASIK 2) NAGPUR min effort make these city cleaned
The first step all embassy staff's attitude to be improved. It should be more friendly and easily people can get the services. Not only to the Citizen but also to locals for visa process, supports.
Should be single window access and mostly online processes. The long waiting, and long process to be reduced. NRI's are income generators to the Nation, to be well treated. Rehabilitation of returnees, NRI villages - Community district wise will be an advantage to keep them together.
Process at Indian embassy are outdated now.first to start with forms.make it simplified.other thing is notary copy of all documents.do self attest is good enough. and in all the application requirement of originals.its too much.. as if originals misplaces then there is unbelievable trouble every person have to go through ... i know that all changes can not come over night but please start to do some and other thing is that once you are above 35 years there is no government jobs you are eligible
NRI importent help indian economy so all servise provide it
Respect the local rules and regulations, never ever hurt the local sentiments, work for self improvement and explore avenues to contribute to India's development.
