What are the steps NRI can take in order to promote Indian culture abroad both locally and across the nation in which they live?
Dear Sanjeev, If you had worked and lived abroad you wouldn't expect anybody to give a third of their salary, given the high income tax rates. As an NRI, I would love to contribute to India's growth but preferably in a way that is mutually beneficial or at least doesn't burn a big hole in my pocket. Secondly, India being a democratic country is not supposed to hinder growth of any Individual by restricting them to stay abroad only uptll a given period of time.
We are shaping & creating the intellectual minds of the NRI by devoting & sacrificing the nation's resources. In return, they are giving us little.Instead they are serving other nations.So,Mr. Modiji, make it a strict rule&pass a constitutional law in the parliament, allow them only for 10 years as maximum to stay in other countries. After that they will serve our nation. Also, they must contribute 33%(!/3rd) of their income for our national growth just like the Corporate Social responsibility.
Second, All Social cultural wing under Indian Social Club should have a "social welfare" division where all their community people can come for any sorts of help & support, as they are more comfortable with their community. Third, initiate more and more cultural events.
First of all those are staying abroad they should have to see everything positively towards India, many people are there they have attitude to say negative. Recently we had gone on a holiday trip to a country where roads are good and the city was clean bla bla.., immediately one of my colleague says, see can u see this type roads in India? I immediately reply him, can they manage this road in same way with population like India? In fact we are better in that way. AT LEAST THINK POSITIVE & BE POS
I think we should start a page here for NRIS...Its my humble suggestion here.!
In my opinion every NRI should come to India once a year and should spend a month with any of The NGO which works in field of education in rural india and i also urge them to donate a months salary to that NGO and make sure your money used for proper activities.
atfirst ,right from childhood we should inculcate nationalism along with studies . this child while going abroad realise those spirit . as an NRE HE OR SHE should flourish indian culture thorough various forms (if she s a student, then thro art festivals in a college (particularly focussing on national song , dance forms such as bharathanatyam, YOGA and meditation forms of yogi)
We want to assist the Ganga and Damodar Valley water resource planners in developing a public communication, planning and forecasting framework to support public conversations and actions to prepare the Ganga and Domodar catchments for adaptation to future hydro-ecological and climatic change.
Indian Government should also give emphasis in developing Watershed Information System (WIS) for our rivers for sustainable environmental planning and management.

Govt of India may constitute Board of Governors for World Wide Cultural Association under Societies Act, and a national center at Delhi with Video Conferring facility, internet connectivity, and access facility to member societies spread over all nation can be effected. Through these societies, micro finance, cultural associations, wealth creation activities etc can be initiated. Mantra for the same to be Eka Bharath, Eka Janatha. Let all NRIs prove 'Loka Samstha Sugino Bhavanthu' is our mantra
