A capital city with 2500 years of heritage urban fabric is in process of projecting itself as a futuristic smart city of eastern India. With its strategic location as gateway to east and northeast India, the growing mega capital city Patna has a pool of young enthusiastic population which would support its new endeavour as a smart city. The Patna Municipal Corporation which was established in 1952, in accordance with The Patna Municipal Corporation Act, 1951, is keen on projecting heritage Patliputra towards a smart Patna. Patna is nominated in the 3rd list of smart cities along with other capital cities of India. The smart Patna would be a reality with efforts of its citizens as your efforts would play a key role in project development stage.

We are in process to finalize on Pan City Proposal and Area Based Planning for our city in order to proceed further.

We urge you to share your ideas, views and be an integral part of the journey towards making Patna a smart city!

Major problem of Patna city is unauthorized encroachment. Unless Patna Municipal Corporation or city administration remove encroachment from all the major road, we can not think of making Patna a smart city. Another major problem is Public transport in the city. I think that in entire India Patna in only capital town where there is no Public Transport system. Only means of public transportation is Autos. These Autos creating lot of traffic problem in the city.

Before planning anything to make Patna a smart city,sir d gov. must improve the condition outside Patna railway station. It is equivalent to hell.

Before making Patna smart,it's road & drainage must be corrected first.All buildings must be made on proper map passed by PMC only. Today what we do is that we encroch the streets and road permanently in our house construction. We introduce balcony in road's land.these must be stopped. First people of Patna should use their civi and common sense, after then they think to make it smart.Thank you.
