Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will share his ‘Mann Ki Baat’ with the farmers of India on 22nd March 2015.

The Prime Minister is very keen to interact with his farmer sisters and brothers across India and would also like to hear their thoughts, ideas and insights on a wide range of issues relating to agriculture. He has requested farmers across India to write to him and send letters to ‘Mann Ki Baat, Akashvani, Sansad Marg, Delhi – 110001’. Some farmers can ask the Prime Minister their question directly during the episode.

MyGov also gives you all this wonderful opportunity to contribute through ideas and inputs for the ‘Mann Ki Baat’ episode with India’s hardworking farmers.

The PM has repeatedly said that India cannot progress until the farmers of the Nation progress and has assured that the Centre will leave no stone unturned in ensuring the agricultural progress of India.

Sir,I belong to farmers family and I am a first generation learner( who went in school). My parents have struggled lot to complete my entire education.Today, the situation of farmers( small farmers) is very worst. We have to ensure micro-finance through village level banking system so that they can improve their economic growth. The farmers are completely doing nations service day and night, We should support provide them market based ans more flexible crop insurance scheme.

Incentives can be given to educated children of farmers to return to the village and work for its betterment.their work should involve making agriculture a profitable occupation.this will prevent permanent migration of youth to cities.incentives like promoting skilled labour, village tourism(street plays, cottage industry, crafts festivals,inter-village sporting events)Common area for congregation during cultural & religious events bring villagers together as a pastime to stop gambling/drinking

I have been keen observer all through. Any politician or any ambitious individuals or group of individuals do not grab any land in the cluster of flourishing agricultural activities. whatever is seen is an aberration, but not the truth. Rapid growth of urbanization prompts conversion of Agricultural land into NA. there is no cry for this conversion though!

Land, if not used productively for farming, there is no harm in using it productively for industry, urbanization, or any socially beneficial purpose. All hue & Cry is hypocrisy, when we see farmers selling their lands for pittance to meet their extravagant marriage ceremonies or other personal needs instead of improving upon farming technologies and increase productivity, and thereby increase of wealth for their growing needs.

#MannKiBaat#PMRadioAddress, THere should clear policy on how farmers of all sugarcane states which is pending with sugar mills of private and cooperatives worth thousand of crores. The sugarmill owners should be treated the way vijay mallaya property are being sold by banks to recover loans. This will give credibility to PM commitment to uplift farmers.

each state should try to be self sufficient in agriculture production. converting farm land for residential complexes and then importing the agriculture products including the daily needed vegetables from outside to be reduced as far as possible. Central Government may hold a meeting of all the states and encourage them to improve agriculture production. High labour charges in Kerala and less income from the paddy and coconuts are discouraging the traditional small farmers. Please review.

Our land was acquired in 1983 but still could not get our complete compensation. We are forced to live below poverty line because we became landless farmer by this acquisition. This land was the only source of imcome of my poor family. We have not filed any case in order to get our complete compensation because of poverty. We don't want to fight case we want justice without wasting time and money. Still we have spend more then the compensation we could get in order to get remaining compensation.
