It is unfortunate that the language text books are unnecessarily loaded with content that does not interest children. Language cultures the mind and heart children. The science lessons and other such should have no place in language text books. The lives, messages, the great inspiring incidents from the lives of great men like Swamy vivekananda,A.P.J.Abdul kalam, J.C.Bose, Subhash Bose, M.K.Gandhi etc should be included. The important literary pieces from the great books of KALIDASA,RAMAYANA.
We are trying our level best to trained the children trough cultural activities.

it is well known to us that since learning sanskrit,urdu,marathietc.won't give any monetary benefit to them,thus only the culture can attract students.we are a group here in HBTI kanpur, organise such a tour every year to southindia,to Srirangam and tell about the teachings of RAMANUJACHARYA and others.They visit and see also people still living vedic life of simple living high thinking.And thus Here more than 50 students are not only learning SANSKRIT evry yr but also studying scriptures.

the way we organize internships to learn industry habits similarly i think we must have some formal tours organised in colleges(preferably after 2nd year in a 4 year degree course) to different parts of the country where they are given a first hand experience of the culture of that region(eg-northeast or southIndian etc.)because culture attracts,and this will develop a curiousness among them to learn about their teachings and philosophy too,hence inspiring them to know their language
अँग्रेजी के हिंदी एवम् मातृ भाषा तथा स्थानीय भाषाओँ का महत्व कम हो रहा है।प्रत्येक भाषा ने जन्म से लेकर विकास होने तक बहुत समय तय किया होता है।हमारी भाषाओँ से हमारी सांस्कृतिक विविधता के दर्शन होते हैं।इन भाषाओँ की हत्या अँग्रेजी द्वारा की जा रही है। हमें शीघ्रता से इसे रोकना होगा।निश्चित रूप से अँग्रेजी का समर्थन करने वाले भारत की एकता एवम् अखंडता के समर्थक नहीं है।अँग्रेजी भाषा के रूप में तो सीखी जा सकती है पर इसकी अनिवार्यता ख़त्म होनी चाहिए। सभी महापुरुषों ने मातृ भाषा में शिक्षण पर बल दिया ह
विद्यालयीन शिक्षा में अपने देश की कम से कम दो भाषाओं के साथ संस्कृत भाषा भी सिखाई जावे ताकि आने वाली पीोढी अपनी संस्कृति से जुडे रहे एवं ग्यान प्राप्त कर सके|
Every language has it's own characteristics. In today's scenario, most of the students do not know any language other than English. Poetry and story writing training and competition should be conducted in regional languages. Discussion and programmes about the great writings in state and regional languages also needs to conducted. For example, Bihar can have Hindi and Maithili(regional) based on region, where as Karnataka can do same thing in Kannada and Tulu/Kodava(regional) etc.
Mother tongue must be developed .Every nation must preserve it cultural values.It is possible through national language mother tongue.To promote cultural values, it must be given proper place in the syllabus.National cultural integration camps must given place in curriculum.
