How can inter-linkages between education, culture and language be brought about in HE institutions. Some concrete suggestions on how this can be effectively implemented need to be ...
We are the active part of the society.Through annual affair or other cultural program held in the school, folk and regional culture should be staged.More and more chances should be given to folk artists.Cultural events should be arranged on our education tours with help of local people or artists.
Social Science text books from 5th to 7th standard should be divided into 2 textbooks. One textbook contains national and state level locations and people. Another textbook related specifically to the district of the child and the districts(maximum 2) which are culturally related to the child's district. 2nd textbook should talk about the rivers, mountains, forests, towns and local history of the district. Many children do not know the rivers flowing in the district they stay.
There is a major transformation happening in current generation. They do not know the local culture and local stories. Every locality/district has the some local legends and heroes. For example, now children know about what is there in the textbooks but they do not know the history of the locality. Previously, this was transferred through old age people as stories to children. When we were children we were told about great warriors, who became demi-gods. But, new generation ignorant to this.
India has a deep rooted cultural heritage and it has taught sustainable development model to the world through adoring nature, not exploiting the nature. Though different languages are spoken across India, the cultural roots are the same throughout as explained above.Hence a need to promote integration of cultures through language. Foreign rulers created linguistic, cultural, and all types of differences among Indians. It is high time for a nationalist ruler to eradicate such differences.
implement local culture compulsary social studies
Group of teachers and students have to visit other states to share and learn the cultural traditions of India.
We have so many stories, myths, folk tales in regional language. We should have a kosh which should capture these in native tongue and then they should be translated into other language.
Sir, the govt, have to develop one application/website and with provision to translate our writing and voices to any other languages. for example if I say something in Odia(oriya) or write something in odia then this app have to translate it other langues(any language in World) without any mistake and to a meaningful sentences. As we are not expert in other/foreign languages some times we are unable to express the correct word. Kindly create a new app and the app name should be "JAY HIND"
introduce cultural and spiritual education
If i talk of gujarati - 0.74% of total world population knows gujarati. so in terms of business market the market for gujarati is quite huge. if i am performing some engineering production or pharma products then there will be enough people to buy my product so that i can flourish in my own native/state. And if at all i want to export my product then i will have to make labels and every other document in the language suitable to that country. for example when something is exported to Germany..
