Conventional education alone cannot meet the needs and aspiration of higher education. What proactive policies and strategies need to be devised and developed to encourage online ...
Online and correspondence courses should be encouraged in all universities.
MOOCs could substitute for traditional teaching to a large extent but there are constraints in rural areas because of lack of infrastructure.
DTH facility can play a great role in spreading education.

ODL should be promoted for the institutions which maintain quality educational standards for example IEI should be promoted as it maintains quality education standards.
Technical Education and Medical education must be full time.
Include course about north east India compolsury. And celebrate one national year as "north east year.
For powerfull India, nation have to know properly about self first...
Give speacial reservation to people of north east Indian in central govt job as well as in developed states...
Bezbaruah samiti also stated it. This is very serious problem...
dedicated open universities should be promoted but quality standards should be maintained. Uniform courses and syllabus shouuld be prescribed.
ODL course should be cheaper, atleast for SC, ST, Women candidate.

Recently I have attended Convocation of AMIE, where IEI-India Chief mentioned that over 4 lac students are currently enrolled in AMIE courses. This course has given a platform to working professional who could not attend university due to some or other reason. I, myself has cleared Section A, Section B along with LAB/Project work of AMIE, And I can firmly confirm that AMIE standing on their ethical grounds in terms of Quality / Standards of Engineering students they produce.
If the intention is to improve the Quality of Engineering Studies in India, we all second the decision to cancel the approval of all SUBSTANDARD Universities. Is AICTE made detailed study on the Quality of Education provided by the IEI and the same ? Being the distance mode of education, how can AICTE decide the Quality of Such education as Sub Standard ? There is no any meaning in saying the supremacy of BE/B-Tech over AMIE until there is a survey on the BE/B-Tech Engineers who Tried AMIE ...
